Key’s POV

Days went by so quickly and now today, we were going be performing for our End of Year show. I was able to make amends with Jinki hyung. It’s a relief that our relationship went back to what it was before this whole relationship mess. Today, he’ll be coming along with Taeyeon noona to cheer me and Tae. Things were finally falling back in place. I got a new makeover for this show, courtesy of Heechul hyung. Sometimes I feel Heechul hyung just loves playing doll with me and Tae. Not that I mind! The only thing that was dampening my mood was my feud with Jonghyun-ssi. Minho scared me so much that I didn’t dare to text or call him again. I even lost that invitation in all the ruckus! I wish he would come today... I have even planned my apology for him.

“Hyung?” Taemin called me, startling me.

“Yah?”

“Why are you spacing out? We are on standby. Hurry! Now!” He said pulling me by hands toward the backstage area. As we made our way toward the backstage, volunteering staff strapped us with mic and in-ears. It was time to put up the show. I took a deep breath and made my way on stage, followed by Taemin. Our first performance for today was a duet. We were performing a remix of Danger & Goodbye. Lights dimmed as we both took our place on stage. From that point everything else was a blur. My body moved to the rhythm. We both were two of the best dancers this university had. As we reached the song’s  , our bodies swayed in sync with each other. We ended our performance with a smooth and, in my personal opinion, a y pose.

Taemin’s POV

We sailed through our first performance with ease. Now it was time for my solo performance. As lights dimmed again, Key hyung silently left the stage to change. He’ll be performing solo after me. I shrugged off my extra layer of clothing. Now I just had a black sleeveless shirt. I would be performing Move, a y and gender fluid dance number. When we first took our position on stage, my eye searched for Jinki hyun. I knew he would be coming with Noona. I just hoped he had good view. When I looked at the audience, he was directly in my line of sight. He was sitting there right in the middle of the first row looking super handsome! As light slowly came back up, I stilled myself and looked at hyung again. He smiled an encouraging smile back at me. ‘Hyung, keep your eyes on me, this performance is just for you.’ With that, the music started and I let my body move to the rhythm of the song, keeping my eyes on Jinki hyung the entire time. I imagined that I was Jinki hyung’s lover already and that this performance was just for him. The entire world was narrowed down to just him. I swayed my body the way hyung swayed my heart. All my movements were subtle with a few sharp movements but they were impactful just like Jinki hyung was; sweet and soft with a iron will. Each move of mine was smooth and measured like a lover’s caress intending to express love. The song made me feel as if it was just Jinki hyung and I under the cover of rain, lost in ourselves. As the performance progressed, his smile started fading and soon he had a shocked expression. That’s right hyung, I’m not a kid who used to play with your brother anymore.  I grew up and I hope that after this performance, you’ll look at me like an adult and not like a kid. Before I even knew it, the song had already ended.  I bowed down to the crowd and as I looked up I could see Jinki hyung looking at me with a mischievous smile, which lot of people don’t even know he is capable of having! I could hear loud cheers and clapping and cheering as I exited the stage.

Key’s POV

I made my way toward the stage after changing into my show stopper outfit. This was my main show for tonight. Something I had put a lot of efforts into preparing. The only regret was that the one this was meant for won’t be here to see this. I couldn’t help but sigh when I felt a pat on my back. I looked up to see Tae smiling encouragingly at me. I could hear loud cheers behind him; looks like he nailed it tonight. If only I could see his performance from the front row! He has a knack for hypnotizing his audience.

“Hyung! It’s your turn! Go show them who’s the Boss!” he said smiling cheekily, pumping his fists in hwaiting pose. I couldn’t help but chuckle! He always know how to cheer me up.

“Arraso!” I said as I made my way on stage. Well it’s Showtime! I’ll think about everything after this is done. Lights came back on as I started my performance. This song was personally written by me and choreographed by my good friend Rino. Even though the lyrics was very ballad like, it was a dance number . As I started singing and dancing together –

Kibum’s makeover and Performance look

I was breathing hard as the song came to an end. As I looked up towards the audience, everyone was in some kind of trance; no one moved. That was when I caught sight of the person I was thinking of the entire night. For whom I wrote this song. He stood there near the entry way. I was brought out of my trance when I heard Kai in my ear telling me to leave. He was here, He saw my performance! What should I do now? these thought kept ringing in my ears.

Jonghyun’s POV

After I parked my car, I made my way towards the auditorium. I could see a few volunteers standing there. I approached one and asked-

“Excuse me”

“Yes”

“Ummm…..I’m here to attend the End of the Year Show. Could you help me with the way please?”

“Sure, can I see your invite if you don’t mind?” she asked me smiling politely. I handed her my invite.

“Sir, please entire through this door. The show has already started, so please make your way in soon.” She ushered me through the door on her left.

As I made my way in, it was already dark. I couldn’t see anything. I was about to grab my phone to use the flash light when the stage lights switched on. I looked up towards it to see the person who caused me sleepless lights for past few weeks. I was rooted in my spot as I saw him start moving his body to the beat and sing along at the same time. What shocked me more were the lyrics! What am I supposed to take from it??  Kibum, what are you trying to do here?! I couldn’t help but stare at him as he ended his performance with grace. As he looked up, our eyes meet. And, for the first time in three weeks, I could feel myself being alive again. We kept staring at each other when, suddenly, he left the stage. I didn’t know what to do anymore. I couldn’t take this, so I made my way out of the hall again.
