Tiffany didn’t sleep well that night so she couldn’t avoid waking up earlier than usual on that Wednesday. Upon getting dressed that morning, she decided to go to the coffee shop before going to work. The same coffee shop she met Taeyeon once. And when she arrived there, she couldn’t take her eyes away from her. She was really pretty, even if she had those geeky Harry Potter glasses on her face.

She was alone this time, not accompanied by her friends, which was a relief to Tiffany.

Tiffany was aware that she followed a certain pattern. Every Tuesday going to the gym, every Wednesday going to that coffee shop, every Friday going to that burger joint and every Saturday going to that nightclub... Maybe Tiffany could exploit that. Maybe she didn’t have to confront Saturday Taeyeon every single time. Maybe she could just talk to them on those days as if they were slowly getting familiar with each other. Taeyeon was found to be a pleasant company yesterday as Taehyuk, maybe this Wednesday Taeyeon wouldn’t be so bad either.

Understanding that Taeyeon really seemed to be a different person each day, including having a different name and a different gender!, Tiffany decided to approach the girl differently this time.

“Hello there... Good morning.” She said, gently smiling. Taeyeon’s eyes moved up from her book, finding Tiffany there in front of her table, with a glass of latte in her hand. “Can I sit with you for a second?”

Taeyeon blinked, staring at Tiffany. “You’re...the one...from that day, aren’t you?”

Tiffany sighed. “Yes.”

“I’ve told you already. I’m not interested in becoming an idol.” She dropped her head down to her book again. “Tell your bosses to leave me alone. I’m not interested in joining any music label.”

“Isn’t that happening because of your band?” Tiffany asked, lifting her brows. “It’s natural that they might want you to join them given how well you can sing.”

Taeyeon moved her head up again. Her brows frowning, suspicious about the commentary. Tiffany quickly cleared . “Hm hm, anyway...I promise I won’t cast you for SM or anything.” She wanted to make everything comfortable for that person.

“What do you want?” She asked, curiously, her voice in a warm tone. “Why are you following me?”

“I’m not following you.”

“I kinda have the feeling that you are…”

“I want to know you better.” Tiffany took the opportunity to finally sit down.

“Why?”

“I have a feeling we could be good friends.”

Taeyeon sighed, looking away. “I don’t think we should be friends.”

“Why not?”

“Just because.” She sipped her coffee.

“That’s not really a reason, is it?”

“I just think that you’ll get hurt if you get closer to me.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Usually that’s what happens.” She said, looking downwards. Tiffany munched her cheeks. It must be really hard for her to live like that. Always forgetting about people and stuff, doing things differently every single day. She must’ve had a tough life.

“What’s your name?” Tiffany asked, curiously.

She raised her head up. “My name? My name is Taeyeon, but you know that already, don’t you?”

“Do you have another name?”

She frowned her brows. “Another name? What do you mean by that?”

“A name you prefer.” By saying this, Tiffany noticed her eyes getting bigger. “For example, my real name is Stephanie, but I like to use a different name.”

“You do?” She asked, interested. “Why?”

“Many reasons. I might suspect that it could be the same with you.”

Taeyeon munched her cheeks. And after a long sigh, she answered. “They like to call me Yoontae.” She answered slowly.

“Who’s they? Your friends?”

Took her a couple of seconds to answer, and her answer ended up being just a silent nod.

“My common name is Tiffany.” She introduced herself. “Tiffany Hwang. Nice to meet you, Yoontae.”

And the girl smiled. “Nice to meet you, Tiffany.” She said, bowing her head.

“I’m sorry for the scene I caused last time. I know I was really inconvenient.”

“Yeah, you were. Don’t try to do that again.” And Tiffany smiled, nodding her head.

“Do you always come here on Wednesdays?”

“Yes. I wake up early so I like to come here and have a nice cup of coffee before going to work.”

“Do you have a job??” That was so intriguing to Tiffany. How could that woman have a job when she forgets everything that happens to her every single day?

“Why surprised? We all have to work somehow in our lives, don’t we?”

“Well, yeah... but… you...”

She blinked, not understanding. “What’s wrong about me?”

Tiffany shook her head, not daring to say anything. She was there to understand the situation and know Taeyeon better, not to cause an uprising with her in every chance they meet.

“Nothing, it’s just that...I didn’t know you had a job.”

“If you knew about my job, I would say that you’re indeed stalking me.” That made Tiffany chuckle.

“Sorry… Sometimes I can overdo a little bit being…”

“Intrusive?” She sounded like Saturday Taeyeon, but Tiffany didn’t point that up.

“Talkative.” Tiffany corrected, making her chuckle.

Taeyeon sipped from her coffee one more time. “Listen… I really think we shouldn’t be friends…”

“What’s the downside of that?” She asked, shrugging her shoulders.

“I’m not good at maintaining friendships.” Taeyeon leaned back for a second. Tiffany couldn’t tell if she was talking about Taeyeon herself or just that Wednesday Taeyeon. She seemed to be evasive.

“You are scared of me?”

“I’m not scared of anything!” She said confidently. Tiffany raised her brows, surprised by the answer. “Well, there’s a person I’m scared of... but it is not you.” She dismissed her.

“Well, if you are not scared of me then why are you avoiding me? Why don't you let yourself be friends with me?”
