 “Chae are you sure you don’t want to get that lip of yours check?” Jisoo asks, eyeing the swollen lips in front of her.

“Nah, I’m good. It’ll get better in a few days. No worries” The petite girl shrugs

“Sure?”

Chaeyoung wraps her right arm around the latter’s shoulder and lead the both of them out of the lecture hall “Come on ‘MOM’. I’m fineee. Just whip me up some of your famous chicken soup and I’ll be fine”

“Sleepover?” Jisoo smiles

Chaeyoung scoffs “You only do sleepover because you want me to deal with that little satan of yours while you sleep”

Jisoo shoves the latter playfully “Yah, I didn’t even ask you to do that and stop calling her Satan you dimwit”

Both girls make their way to the main entrance and stops when they saw Nathan sitting at the bench near the stairs. The tall guy immediately got of his feet, walking towards the girls with a smile plasters on his face.

“Hey Jisoo… Chaeyoung” His eyes fixated more on Jisoo of course.

Jisoo gives a small smile. Chaeyoung exchange her gaze from her best friend and the said popular boy. Nathan then looked at the petite girl. He scratches the back of his neck, looking at Jisoo “Uh, are you guys heading back?”

Jisoo nods “yes, we were about to”

“I could give you… I mean you guys a ride home” Nathan chuckles awkwardly. Chaeyoung cringes internally

“That’s very nice of you Nate, but we’re going to head someplace else first”

“It’s fine, it’s fine, I can drop you guys off. No biggie” Nathan interjects

“Sorry Nathan, it’s kind of like our girl’s day out, so” Chaeyoung chirps in, not forgetting to give an exaggerating smile

“Oh, yah, I understand. Sure Sure” The boy grins, looking at Jisoo again “I guess, I ll see you tomorrow then. Bye Jisoo…. You too Chaeyoung”

Chaeyoung watches the boy went off before turning to look at her best friend “So, Where are we going?”

“Well, we need food. I haven’t had the time to restock ratio for the week”

“Not only you want me to take care of the little Satan, you’re forcing me to be your personal shopper as well??” Chaeyoung says

“Bold of you to assume that I want you to be my personal shopper. I might be asking you to be my personal…paper bag lifter”  Jisoo laughs , clutching her stomach in the process. Acting as if she just came up with the funniest joke ever.

Chaeyoung blinks, looking at her best friend who seems to be enjoying her own comical moment “This is why you don’t have a lot of friends Jisoo”

“I don’t get why you need to live so far up from Uni” Chaeyoung huffs, holding on to the brown paper bag while walking up the Subway stairs

Jisoo shrugs “You know why”

Chaeyoung groans “ Won’t change the fact that I’ll be forever complaining about it” Chaeyoung look from right to left, watching out for cars, before clutching Jisoo’s hand in her own, leading both girls crossing the road.

“Sometimes I forgot that you’re such a sweetheart underneath that layers of sassiness” Jisoo remarks, earning a slight shove from the shorter girl

“Hey, don’t be rude. I am always sweet… only to you. You should be grateful”

Jisoo smiles before landing a lingering kiss at the side of the latter’s temple “I am forever grateful Chae”

Chaeyoung breath hitches by the sudden affection. She shrugs them off not wanting her best friend realising that she’s internally panicking “Yah yah, I’m holding food here woman”

Jisoo took out her card flashing them at the device next to the door knob. They walk in comfortable silence once they open the apartment door, a cute fluffy Maltese greets both girls. Winging its tail and quickly lean its body against Chaeyoung’s feet.

“I swear to God, dalgom can be such an sometime. Why does he even favours you more than me? I’m her darn mother for goodness sake” 

Chaeyoung chuckles, putting the brown paper bag on the kitchen counter before picking the fluffy dog in her arm “Because animal can sense who’s the bigger between us two”

Jisoo gasp in exaggeration. She took the fluff ball and cradles it in her arm “Stop tainting dalgom pure mind with your vulgarity Son Chaeyoung.  Dalgom and I have already acknowledge that you are the ultimate ”

The latter sniggers “For real tho, it wasn’t nice of you to say that about Jennie Even if she’s a pain in the to you”

“What did I do?” Jisoo tilts her head, not fully understanding why does the weird heiress name came up in the conversation.
