Mark and Donghyuck have been hanging out nonstop. They started meeting up during lunches, going to each other’s houses. They just couldn’t get enough of one another. Its like they’ve been friends forever.

He would lay his hand on Marks leg, wrap his arms around him, hell every chance Donghyuck got he would rest his head on Marks shoulders. That was his favorite place to lay his head. Donghyucks POV

“Who do you think Jeno’s gonna ask to prom?” “Obviously you Nana. Since ya’ll dating.” “He was dropping major hints about taking Renjun though.” Its Friday afternoon and guess what I get to spend it doing? That’s right you guessed it. Work. Jaemin and I are walking to my car since we have the same work shift today. “He probably feels bad for him, cause he’s the only single one in our group. This is the eighth time I’ve refilled this.” Jaemin states with frustration dumping the package of bears in the metal tin. “Well jokes on them, it’s the sugar free kind.” Jaemin looks at me with horror in his eyes. “You’re joking. Please tell me you are?” “No, why?” “I HAVE BEEN SNACKING ON THESE SINCE WE GOT HERE!” “PPFtthahahaha! “Jeamin! Get out here and help me! I can’t get the Coconut yogurt machine to work and there’s people waiting.” “Sorry, I’m too busy self-loathing” “BOI IF YOU DON’T-” “Hey, Duckie” I whip around to see my favorite person. “Hey Mark, what’s up?” “Not much, but see you got a lot to handle.” “Yeah, remind me to hurt Jaemin later.” “Noted, any who, I was wondering if you had plans tonight?” My heart start racing omg. “I don’t think so why?” “Well I was thinking when you get off work we could meet up at the park and maybe hang?” “I’d love too, I get off at 7 but I’ll see you around eight. Jaemin and I are closing up today.” “Alrighty, see you then.” “Bye.” And with that he walks out. “Ooo get some Heachan!” Jaemin teases from behind me. “Oh I’m gonna kill you.”

I’m heading off to the park to meet Mark and I just finished dropping Jaemin off at his house. He griped about Jeno the whole way. I don’t blame him. I park my car and see Marks car is already here. He didn’t exactly say where to meet him, so I go to our spot. Its safe to say that’s our spot. We always meet up there. As I’m walking I’m stopped by the one person I never wanted to see ever in my life again. “Hey, Donghyuck, didn’t think I’d run into you here, its um, it’s good to see you.” I turn to him. He has a pathetic smile on his face. “I wish I could say the same for you Sanha.” “I know what I did was wrong, and I regret it. But believe me when I say I miss you. How many times do I say I’m sorry?” He reaches for my hand. I pull it away. Marks POV

I sat the ramp waiting for Donghyuck to show up. Its almost 8:47 and Donghyuck still hadn’t shown up. I start to get worried. I texted him and no answer. I’m going to go wait by my car. I grab the flowers and mini banner I had for him. I was gonna ask him to be my date for prom. I wanted it to be a surprise. As I’m heading out to my car I see two people in the distance by the entrance. Hugging. The smaller one pushed away from the taller one. As I’m getting closer I notice that the smaller one was in fact Donghyuck. Theres an odd feeling in me. I quickly hide the stuff behind my back. He notices me. He smiles. “Hey Mark, sorry I’m late.” “That’s fine, I seen that you ran into someone. Old friend a boyfriend maybe?” When I said those words, I couldn’t help but feel a pit in my stomach. “Oh, no defiantly not. Don’t worry about him.”

We walk to our spot and before we get up the ramp I take my chance to ask him.

I can feel a cold sweat on my forehead, my stomach feels all giddy, my heart is pumping. Here goes nothing. I step slightly away from him and pull the flowers and banner out. “U-um, Duckie?” He turns to look at me and the look on his face is something I’ll cherish for a long time. He looks at the banner and reads. ‘Duckie, will you give me the chance to show you one hand in hand dance at prom?’ He looks at me. He walks over to me and hugs me. “Yes”
