I didn’t know it was such a big responsibility being someone’s boyfriend. 

Kiko always wants us to hang out or monopolize my time, whichever sounds more appropriate.

She doesn’t say it directly but I feel that Kiko was wary of my closeness with Dara.

I was starting to neglect Dara, the times we spend getting lesser and lesser. I did not know what to tell her or how to tell her that my girlfriend was jealous of her. Because why would she right? I’m sure if I told Dara why she’d just laugh at me.

But I wouldn’t.

I was making more and more excuses. I did not want to hurt my bestfriend but I couldn’t hurt my girlfriend either.

It’s not that Kiko hates Dara but I don’t think she understands why I am bestfriends with Dara. Kiko told me she felt threatened of mine and Dara’s shared history.

I always try to reassure Kiko that nothing was going on between me and her. I wasn’t entirely honest but I was truthful on Dara’s part at least. And not that I would want to explain to her that if I had any chance at Dara, we would not have remained bestfriends.
