CHAPTER SEVEN

Her Side of the Story

Hwa Young and Hoya became a popular couple in their school. Girls would still try to steal Hoya’s attention but would often fail after every attempt.  Infinite and Hwa Young also became close as they started treating each other like family, they would sometimes share or in this case steal each other’s food during lunch in the cafeteria.

“Heeey! Who took my egg omelette?” asked Sungyeol as he looked amongst the group only to find that Hwa Young was the only one with food inside .

“Sorry, couldn’t help it,” she apologised.

Sungyeol sighed and forgave her since he didn’t want to face Hoya’s force in anyway.

“Hoya Oppa, do you remember the first time we met?”

“Of course!” replied Hoya gleefully.

“Why does he seem happy when he actually went cra- fhiasufnas” Hoya had immediately covered Woohyun’s mouth so he couldn’t finish his sentence.

A loud slam was heard from a table next to them. Everyone in the cafeteria turned their heads towards the source where the sound came from. A female student, Eunhee [chapter 3] with short hair had slammed her lunch tray on the table. She angrily stood up and stomped towards the table Infinite and Hwa Young was sitting at. She glared at Hoya and scoffed. Infinite stiffened at her presence as she had created the atmosphere around her heavy and filled with hatred.

Eunhee was Hoya’s ex-girlfriend’s best friend. Ever since Hoya found out that his girlfriend, Chung Ae cheated on him, he became distant towards the relationship with Eunhee. Eunhee was protective over Chung Ae since she was older, although during the time Hoya dated Chung Ae, Eunhee and Hoya were on good terms. But ever since the incident, they pretended that they never met or knew each other, making them as strangers again.

“It’s only been what? Not even a full month and you already found yourself a girlfriend? You move on pretty fast don’t you? Did you forget about Chung Ae already?” Eunhee spat out. By this time Hoya’s anger grew. He didn’t want to think about the dreadful past. The past he wanted to forget.

“Chung Ae never loved me. She is just some I dated. A that I regret I dated in the past,” said Hoya. Eunhee couldn’t take it anymore, she hated how Hoya had insulted her best friend, so in return she slapped his face. Hard. She slapped him twice and when she about to make it a third, a hand immediately stopped her from doing so. Sunggyu, the leader of Infinite, pushed her away from Hoya, but as a result, his strength was exceedingly too much. Eunhee crashed one of the tables, her lip was bleeding from hitting the edge of the table along with her right arm. The people sitting their moved away.

Eunhee faced back to Infinite. Sunggyu was shocked at how much strength he put in, immediately regretted with what he did. He didn’t mean to push her that hard, he just wanted her to stop with all the drama.

“Don’t you DARE call Chung Ae that! “ Eunhee shouted.

“Why? It’s the truth!” said Hoya. “Hoya, stop,” said L as Dongwoo and Sungjong tried to calm him down.

“I knew you were a never good boyfriend.”

“Is that all you got? It was your ty best friend that cheated on me, alright!?”

“I told you NOT TO CALL HER THAT!”

Eunhee launched herself towards Hwa Young, the person she though who really started everything. However, Hoya was fast enough and Eunhee was once again being pushed back, her back hit the corner of one of the tables.

The students around them could not do anything, afraid that if they did, Infinite would hurt them. After all they were the scariest gang at Woolim who were rumoured that once they put someone in a coma for 2 months.

Eunhee was on the ground, her back hunched while her hair was messily covering half of her face. A tear escaped her eye, I’m not going to let my best friend be called that. Their all lies. Sniffing could be heard from Eunhee, she cautiously looked up, glaring at Hwa Young and Infinite especially Hoya.

“Did you even ask her? Did you even ask for an explanation? Or did you just run off assuming everything you saw was true?” Eunhee whispered. Tears sliding down her face, “She’s not a or a .” Eunhee stood up and limped off elsewhere, she stopped midway, “she really did love you, but you blew it all.” She headed out of the cafeteria and all was quiet.

All Hoya did was scoff and looked back at Hwa Young in concern.
