Jihoon woke up by a soft clanking sound in the kitchen. He looked across his bed to see Woojin still in deep sleep. Grudgingly, he walked out the room towards the kitchen only to be greeted by Daniel, cooking breakfast, or so he thought, back-facing him. As if on cue, Daniel turned around and they made eye contact. He smiled slightly at Jihoon then continues his cooking. Jihoon thought his eyes were playing tricks on him but Daniel’s smile looked forced. Jihoon sat on the chair when Daniel put his breakfast on the plate in front of him. When Jihoon was about to take the first bite, he noticed Daniel was about to walk out of the room. 

“Hyung, you didn’t eat your breakfast?” Jihoon asked, confused. Daniel usually waits for him so that they’ll always eat together except if Daniel had schedules to attend.

Daniel doesn’t even spare him a glance, “I’ve eaten. Don’t forget to clean it up after you finished” then left the kitchen after putting another set of breakfast for Woojin on the table.

Jihoon didn’t think much and continue eating his breakfast. Not long after, Woojin joins him and they both ate in comfortable silence.
For the rest of the day, Daniel locked himself in his room. Jihoon and Woojin tried to ask Daniel to hang out together earlier but the older only said that he’s really tired and need to rest. They looked at each other for a while then Jihoon shrugged and retreat to his room. Woojin felt something was off that Daniel actually refused Jihoon’s invitation for once but decided to shrug it off as well as it’s not his business.

Jihoon actually had plans in mind on what he is going to do with Daniel on this rare holiday and although Jihoon didn’t show it, he was quite taken aback that Daniel actually refused him. That never happened before. No matter how busy Daniel is, he never says no to Jihoon’s request, no matter what it is. Jihoon decided that Daniel was actually dead tired that he acted like this. Hey, on the bright side, Daniel still cooked breakfast and smile at him this morning. So may be tomorrow everything will be back the way it is. But despite that, Jihoon couldn’t help but feel something tuck on his chest that he missed something very important.
