(Flashback)

Several days after Daniel found out about Jihoon’t true feelings, or so he thought, Daniel once again lying on the hard concrete of the rooftop, closing his eyes and enjoying the cold night breeze. It helped to calm him down. For several days, he tried really hard to act unaffected, to act as nonchalant as possible, especially in front of Jihoon, but he thought that he had reached his limit.

He keeps his distance with Jihoon because he scarred that he might disgusts Jihoon more than he already did. So, he used all his will power to stay as far as possible from Jihoon. He is dying to touch Jihoon, to hug him, to pat him, or even to talk to him has become hard task for Daniel. Daniel becomes self conscious with everything he did with the younger, worrying the whether the younger will hate him if he did something the younger uncomfortable of. 

So, here he is, staying away from the younger to not disturb his personal space. Daniel thinks he might go crazy if he keeps this on as he couldn’t tell anyone about this, not even Jisung or his best friend. He did see the curious and questioning eyes of the younger about his sudden change of behaviour but he didn’t have any excuse to offer so he just stay quiet. Even with a simple eye contact, he thought that his resolve might crumble to pieces and jumps and hug the younger.

Daniel planned to keep this until he can sort his feelings out and moved on from Jihoon. So, before he could get rid of his feelings for the younger, he needs to keep his distance. Daniel laughs at himself, could he really can stop loving Jihoon. He even doubted himself. Easier said than done right?

Daniel’s train of thoughts were interrupted when he felt a presence of someone sitting beside him. He opened his eyes only to be greeted by Sungwoon looking down at him with unreadable expression.

“What are you doing here?” Daniel starts.

“What are you doing here?” Sungwoon asked back

“I’m not in the mood to joke around hyung” Daniel said, this time using his right arm to close his eyes.

Sungwoon looks over at Daniel, “Are you okay? You can tell me anything Niel-ah”

“I’m fine” Daniel said without moving an inch

“Does it have anything to do with Jihoon?” Sungwoon said instead, not backing out.

With the name mentioned Daniel abruptly sat up, he squints his eyes at Sungwoon, “What are you implying at?”

Sungwoon just shrugged and continued, “I just figured you have been avoiding Jihoon these past days. I thought you guys might be fighting or something, but I see Jihoon is utterly confused with the situation as well so I assume it’s on you. Since you guys are dating, being the older one, you should be more understanding, even if it wasn’t you fault, can’t you put down your pride and say sorry for the people you love? You should protect him. Or you don’t love him anymore? Are you guys breaking up already?”

That triggered Daniel. Without thinking he grabbed Sungwoon’s collar and hover above him. Since, Daniel has a much bigger built, he looked really intimidating right now. Daniel might be the happy pills of the group, the fluff balls, the one who never get angry at anything, will give up on anything for others, and the one who make the mood of the group brighter and lighter. But when he is triggered, especially about things that he cared about, he can be the people you don’t want to mess with the most.
