“So, care to explain?” Jisung crossed his arm and look sternly at Daniel and Sungwoon back and forth.

(Flashback)

“I’m dating Sungwoon hyung”

Silence filled the room then,

“WHAATTT?!?!?!?!” All members shout in unison

“How?” 

“Why?”

“Since when?”

“Impossible”

“I can’t believe this”

“Is this April mop?”

“This is hotter news than Song Joongki and Song Hekyo sunbaenim’s marriage”

“Wow”

All questions and remarks are thrown at them simultaneously that both Daniel and Sungwoon didn’t know how to answer them
Woojin glanced at Jihoon’s hardened expression. He couldn’t help but worried for his best friend since he knew Jihoon’s plan on confessing today. Worst, he is the one suggesting on that confession.

“It just happened like that” Daniel said sheepishly, grinning like an idiot

Daehwi is first to take action. He jumps from his seat and hug Daniel, “Congratulations hyung, I’ll support you”

Daniel hugged Daehwi back, “Thank you Daehwi-ah”

Members started to exchange congratulary message when suddenly Jihoon stood up abruptly and run out of the kitchen, even out of the dorm, didn’t forget to slam on the front door harder than necessary, successfully shutting up the members.

“What’s wrong with him?” Daniel dumbly asked.

Ignoring Daniel, “I’ll go after him” Woojin said and run out of the dorm

“Okay, I’ll leave Jihoon to you, be careful” Jisung said, then adds, “I think you should take Minhyun with you”

They didn’t need to be told twice and immediately stand up and run after Jihoon.

“Hey, don’t ignore me” Daniel tries again

“Seongwoo, bring the maknae out of the dorm and you two follow me” Jisung’s tone is different, nobody dares to say anything and just follow his instructions.

(End of Flashback)

So, now here they are, in Daniel, Jisung, and Seongwoo’s shared room. 

“What to explain hyung? We are dating. That’s all” Daniel said

“I thought you like Jihoon” Jisung deadpanned, “And I thought you know Daniel liked Jihoon” He said looking at Sungwoon this time

Daniel speaks up at that, “I liked Jihoon, it’s in past tense. I don’t like him that way anymore. Jihoon didn’t even like me at all.” Daniel said that last sentence so soft that if it’s not because of the deafening room, Jisung wouldn’t catch that. “Sungwoon hyung likes me, I like Sungwoon hyung and we are dating” Daniel finalized

Jisung still looking at Sungwoon, “Daniel, leave the room now, there’s something I want to talk to Sungwoon here”

“I don’t want, just talk to him while I’m here” Daniel insists

“Daniel. Out. Now” Jisung emphasize each word, now looking, more like glaring at Daniel.

Daniel never sees Jisung like that before, and he is somehow scarred by that. So, he obediently walked out of the door and closed it. “Don’t even try to eavesdropping” Jisung adds. And Daniel knows if he wants to live for another day, he shouldn’t eavesdrop.

After Daniel is out of the room, Jisung’s stares softened a bit. Sungwoon, through the entire conversation has yet to lift up his head and keep looking down at his lap. He never knew that coming out to s will bring this big problem. If he knew, he’d rather force Daniel to keep this a secret.

“Look at me Sungwoon-ah” Jisung starts

When there’s no response from the younger man, Jisung continues, “You know perfectly what happened between Daniel and Jihoon right? Everyone is very well aware that Jihoon actually likes Daniel the same way Daniel is, he just has yet to realize that. Everyone, except Daniel of course, that kid is just plain innocent and I believe you are not that dumb.” Jisung said as a matter of fact

Sungwoon only nod a little

“Then, why you did that?” Jisung asked again

“Because I love him hyung” Sungwoon spoke for the first time that day. “I’ve always loved him ever since we became a group. But I thought I stand no chance against Jihoon. I even thought of burying my feeling forever if Daniel is happy with Jihoon.” Sungwoon stopped and take a deep breath before continues, “But Jihoon didn’t like Daniel, not that way. And Jihoon hurt Daniel. So, why can’t I take this chance to make Daniel mine?”
