Yoongi and Jimin walked hand in hand, giggling the whole journey to get their lunch. They ran into Namjoon at the crossroad and Namjoon stopped and squinted. Jimin subtly tried to pry his hand out of Yoongi's but Namjoon raised his hand and told him to stop.

Namjoon squinted harder, "Something's different."

Already, Jimin blushed hard. He glanced at Yoongi who was trying not to smile.

"There's this air," Namjoon continued. "Jimin, you glow."

Yoongi started grinning. Jimin nudged him to stop.

Namjoon opened his eyes wide, gaping after seeing their interaction. It was subtle but it was enough. "Oh yes, you did it, didn't you? You sneaky little s!"

"Joon ><"

"Omg!" Namjoon cupped his mouth and jumped up and down. The passerby gave him weird looks. He didn't care. "Jimin! Omg! You did? Omg, guys! Wait till Hoseok hears about this! He's gonna throw a party!"

"Joon, oh my god!" 

Namjoon calmed down a bit (just a bit) and pulled them into his arms, then. 

"Guys, I am happy for you. Finally!"

Yoongi tapped him on the back, "Thanks, buddy. You going somewhere?"

"Yes! I have a date! Yay!"

"Oh, with the guy you proposed to?"

Namjoon wiggled his eyebrows. "He DMed me last night. We talked and clicked too well. I'm screwed. Well, not in the way you two are but-"

"Kim Namjoon! ><"

"Sorry," Namjoon grinned again. "Anyway, I'm going. Congrats, guys!" And he leaned into Jimin, whispering, "Tell me all about it later!"

"Definitely not!" Jimin yelled as Namjoon skipping away to his date.

Both Yoongi and Jimin watched until Namjoon was out of sight, and then suddenly Jimin exclaimed, repeatedly slapping Yoongi's upper arm.

"What's wrong?"

"Did Namjoon tell you he proposed to whoever this person is??"

Yoongi nodded.

"And didn't you tell me someone proposed to Jin??"

Yoongi gasped, eye wide. "No way..."

"Should we go and see?"

"Baby, wait," Yoongi pulled him back from running after Namjoon. "Let's find out in the less creepy way. Let's not stalk them."

"But this is exciting, Yoongi!"

Yoongi s his arm around Jimin's shoulder, "Aren't we more exciting?"

Jimin elbowed him and then reached for his hand. "Let's go get lunch. I'm starving."

They picked out a random diner and sat for their lunch. Yoongi asked Jimin if he was willing to try out every diner in the area with him including cafe and bakery and Jimin gladly said yes.

Jimin got his lunch and started digging in, with Yoongi watching him fondly, one hand supporting his chin. 

"You're not gonna eat?" Jimin asked with his mouth full.

Yoongi smiled and reached out to wipe his corner of his mouth with his thumb, "I'm full just by watching you eat."

"Is that supposed to be good or bad??"

"Good. Very good." The best, Jimin. Yoongi wanted to say out loud but he didn't want to ruin the good mood Jimin was in. The best thing ever to watch you eat after knowing how much you struggle with it. 

Jimin continued eating until his plate was clean. Yoongi felt like a proud parent, which was weird because he didn't want to be Jimin's parent. He felt a familiar presence, then, and looked around. Coincidentally, he spotted Suran at the counter putting in her order. He waved, causing Jimin to look too.

The colors on Jimin's face faded away.

, I totally forgot about Suran!!

Suran waved at them both and Jimin had trouble gulping down his water.

Suran walked to them once she got her order. She was smiling her usual friendly smile but Jimin felt choked up by it. He could barely sit still the closer she approached.

"Hey, didn't know I'd see you guys here, too."

"Hi~" Yoongi returned her a smile. "We're grabbing lunch. You're here to write?"

"Ugh, yes. Time to get jelly and on happy people, as always."

Yoongi laughed at that, totally oblivious of Jimin's pale face and dried up lips.

"Do you wanna join us?" Not only just asking, already Yoongi pulled a chair on Jimin's right and gestured for Suran to sit.

Jimin gulped. He pulled out his phone, pretending to scroll through something. He cleared his throat.

"I have to go," his voice was breathy, almost unheard. Yoongi looked at him, waited for him to add. "I, uh... my group assignment just texted. They wanna meet up."

"Oh," Yoongi's lips parted slightly. "I'll go with yo-"

"No, no. I can go by myself. You two enjoy your time."

If Jimin could just pop out of there in a blink, he would. But he was just a human, so he did what he could—he pulled himself together, got up, and walked out with his back straightened up and his head high. Yoongi watched him until he was gone. When he turned back, Suran frowned at him.

"...what?"

"Why didn't you go with him?" She fired.

Her question perplexed him. For a moment, he didn't know what she meant.

"He said he could go by himself,"

"Yoongi, you're an idiot." She sighed. There were a few thoughts running through her head at the moment but she pushed them all back to the trashcan where they belonged. She knew from the start there was something more than friends between Yoongi and Jimin, she just didn't know the slight chance she saw before would vanish so fast. But it's alright, she told herself. She wouldn't die from an unrequited crush.

"Go after him!" She hardened her tone when idiotic Yoongi was still sitting there. "He was clearly upset."

"What? Why?"

"Why? Probably because of me," Suran nudged at his foot with her boot. "Hurry up! Go clear the situation with him."

Yoongi pulled out two bills and pinned them under the dirty plate. "Thanks, Suran ah!"
