Aejae fixed her hair slightly in the half up and half down ponytail it was in, smoothing the wispy curls at the end. Her fingers nervously tapped her watch as she saw her old highschool friends milling around in the restaurant where the valedictorian of their year had announced to meet for their reunion. She desperately wanted to leave, pent on avoiding a person, one person.

“Aejae! Oh my gosh, you’re so pretty now!” Daehwi was in front of her exclaiming, and she laughed slightly, still recognizing the happy virus of their year.

“Was I not pretty in highschool?” Aejae raised an eyebrow, pretending to be offended.

“No, no, you were always pretty, but what I meant was that you got prettier? Wait no, I mean, you are pretty and you were pretty, and oh gosh what am I saying.” Daehwi sighed, and Aejae burst out in laughter, as he sheepishly grinned.

Daehwi seemed to remember something as he raised a finger.

“Oh yeah, Woojin is here too! Here, I’ll call for him.” Daehwi smiled before turning.

Aejae’s grin slipped off her face as her hands turned cold.

He was standing there, with dark brown hair slightly covering his eyes, and snaggle tooth showing through his smile.
