Sanhwa walked out of the Introduction to Congress class, yawning as Daehwi chuckled next to her. He ruffled her hair, and pinched her cheek as she gave him a look.

“God help me, I’m so tired.” Sanhwa had dark bags under her eyes, and she yawned again as Daehwi looked at her in worry.

“Get some sleep, it’s not like we have loads of work, we just turned in our term papers. You should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep right now.” Daehwi brushed her fingers under her eyes as there were bags.

“I can’t sleep. My insomnia is really bad right now, and it helps if I study extra at night.” Sanhwa explained, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

“Is it because of…” Daehwi trailed off when Sanhwa stiffened visibly.

“Because you don’t get enough caffeine, yeah! Uh, let’s go to Cafe 101.” Daehwi hurriedly dragged her to the cafe near their college as she glared at him suspiciously.

They got into the cafe, and secured a booth near the windows, and sat down. They set down their stuff, and Sanhwa got out her laptop again, about to do work when Daehwi sternly looked at her.

“This is friendship time, not lose myself in study time. Put the laptop away before I pour my water on it.” He crossed his arms as he watched Sanhwa roll her eyes and put away her laptop.

“There you go. I’ll go order. The usual?” Daehwi tilted his head cutely while asking the question. Sanhwa smiled at his adorable expression.

“Yeah, I’ll be waiting.” Sanhwa grinned up at him, but her smile fell as soon as he left.

Daehwi stood in the line to order, when he noticed a specific male entering the coffee shop. His eyes widened in recognition at Eunwoo, Sanhwa’s ex who had cheated on her. He bubbled in anger and tightly fisted his phone as he watched Eunwoo approach Sanhwa.

“Sir? Sir? Are you ready to order?” The employee at the front looked at him confused as he gritted his teeth.

“Yes, I’ll order a carrot cake, a tall americano, and a grande passion tea.” He tore his eyes away from Eunwoo and Sanhwa as he tried to order as quickly as possible.

On the other hand, Sanhwa was staring out of the window blankly, waiting for Daehwi to comeback when someone cleared their throat.

She turned, and turned rigid as she saw Eunwoo, her ex-boyfriend. She bolted up, standing away from him.

“What are you doing here?” She hissed as his face fell.

“I mean, I saw you from outside and I…” He trailed off, guilt written on his face.

“You shouldn’t have come. What do you want?” Her voice was like crackling ice.

“Sanhwa, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, I just…” His voice cracked as he looked apologetic.

Sanhwa’s eyes watered slightly. Eunwoo had been an amazing boyfriend, but he was just unfaithful, meeting several girls at once.

“What makes you think I’ll accept your apology?” Her voice wavered as tears threatened
