"Wait," The tall one scanned our dorm lightly, "Does that mean I can't also come over to that side? Or is it just Kai?" 

"I'd prefer you not to." I said, my hand running through my dyed hair, fingers getting caught at the ends.
"But I can."

Chanyeol grinned like he had just won a tournament against the devil when really, it wouldn't even be lawful of me to ban him from walking around the entire room. 

"Well," I started, catching the attention of my roommate and his friends, "We're going to back to Baekhyun's room, you guys have fun."

There was a little protest that was probably out of courtesy. I grabbed my phone from the side table, patting the top of my bed covers to smooth the wrinkles out. Baekhyun had already walked out the room, probably making his way to his room that was only a few doors down. 

"You don't have to go," Kai had moved from a bean bag that he sat on, following me, standing a step away from the door frame, " Seriously."

"Ah, that's really kind of you but," I my lips, my speech slightly fast as he closed the distance slowly. 

He pulled the door closed, his back resting against it while I stood opposite him; inhaling in his aftershave willingly.

There was no line here, so if he wanted, he could also close the gap between us like he closed that door. 

"'But no thanks', yeah I've heard that before," This time he leaned closer, ' You don't have to make it so obvious that you're avoiding me."

A shiver ran down my spine and heat crawled onto my cheeks, tinting them redder and redder with each breath Kai took. 

With a sad smile that told me that he knew the real reason of my 'but no thanks', he twisted the doorknob with his eyes gazed into mine. The boy didn't walk in or open the door, he simply unlocked it and waited till we broke eye contact.

So that's what I did, with blushing cheeks I turned away. 

Without looking back, I walked to Baekhyun's room. And never did I hear the sound of a door open in my escapade. 

Only the erratic beating of my heart followed my quick steps.
