Chapter 4
His Brother
Andy’s heart missed a beat. He couldn’t breathe. His head ached. His stomach turned. He couldn’t say anything. Junjin stared at him. He was going through similar thoughts as Andy did. They had no clothes on. They were under the thin blankets. That couldn’t mean anything else but what they were both thinking.
He felt numb. Too numb to release the tears of panic. Junjin climbed off the bed, covering himself with the first pair of clothing he could find, thankfully it was a shirt. He walked out of the room, wordlessly. Shortly, the shower was on. Andy jumped up the bed, as soon as he realized how wrong it was. He took his clothes and dressed himself in a record-breaking speed. He needed to get out as soon as possible.
“It’s your turn to shower…” Junjin muttered when he got out of the shower, throwing the younger man a towel.
Andy halted. “Ah, okay, thanks…” he whispered, hugging the white towel tightly. He hurried to the bathroom and locked the door behind him. Only now he could take a deep breath and process everything. What the had happened? He had taken a few drinks and then he had a total blackout. Had he slept with Junjin? Where was he? How does he get back home? The shock brought tears into his eyes. “What did I do…?” Andy cried.
The guilt was palpable. Eric had given everything to Andy, his love, his trust, and Andy had betrayed him. He didn’t have to tell Eric, but their relationship was based of trust and loyalty. Andy wanted to marry that man. And now he had cheated on him, with his brother. “Andy? Are you okay? I don’t hear shower…” Junjin knocked the door.
Andy startled.
“Y…yes, I’m fine,” he answered.
He would take a long shower, think about this and then have a talk with Junjin. Yes, that sounded like a great plan. Andy put the towel down, undressed himself again and stepped into the shower. Once the warm water hit his dirty skin, he could feel the worries washing away, for the time being. Once he was out, he felt even worse than after waking up.
“We need to talk…” Junjin said as soon as Andy had exited the bathroom.
The realization that Andy didn’t want to talk, but instead, leave, suddenly took over Andy. He shook his head, murmuring something inaudible, and grabbed his shoes. Junjin didn’t stop him. Andy walked as fast as he could, and when he turned to get to the elevator, he was stopped. “Oh? Andy-sshi,” Hyesung, the childhood friend of Eric, smiled at him. “What are you doing in here?”
Andy at lying.
There was nothing he could say.
He walked past the singer, and again, scurried as fast as possible to the elevator. When he was about to order a taxi, he realized he had left his phone upstairs.
“Where were you!?” Eric ran to the foyer and grabbed a tight hold on Andy. “I was worried to death! You didn’t answer to any of my calls!” he engulfed the younger man into his embrace. “Have you any idea how horrified I was that you didn’t come home last night?” His breathing hit Andy’s already goosebumps-y skin. “I was so damn worried…”
Andy wrapped his idle arms around the tall man and squeezed him. In a second, he was crying to the shoulder. Eric rubbed his back, clueless about what had happened. Andy
