Chapter 12
His BrotherChapter 12:
“Eric?” Hyesung blinked his eyes when he saw the handsome CEO behind his door. “What are you doing in here?” he covered himself up and leaned to the doorway. “Now it’s not a good time,” Hyesung said. “I have a headache and I spent the night in my bathroom floor.”
“Are you and Chungjae going to date again?” Eric questioned seriously.
“No, we—” Hyesung was cut by the older man.
“You deserve so much better Hyesung,” The said man looked down. “Chungjae is just a player! He doesn’t love anyone, but himself.” the CEO spoke fast. “You need someone who loves you like I love my Andy.” he placed his hands onto Hyesung’s shoulders.
Hyesung shook the arms off, and then scoffed. “You don’t know anything because you are a blind and idiotic fool!” he slammed the door at Eric’s face and pressed his back against it. He was panting, chest rising and descending.
Tears began to flow down the cheeks, as Hyesung reached for the bleeping phone. Eric was calling. He was still behind the door. “Open the door,” Eric spoke softly. “I’m sorry if I hurt you.” Hyesung hung up but turned to the door and opened it again. Eric reached his hand and wiped the tears off the face. “You look so much better when you smile.” he chuckled. “I would never want to hurt you, Hyesungie,” Eric said. “You are like a brother to me.”
Hyesung chuckled after that. “You really are an idiot,” he murmured, voice broken from crying.
“I know I am,” Eric grinned.
No, he didn’t know. He didn’t see what was happening right in front of him. Hyesung sometimes wondered what would happen if he told about Andy and Junjin to the fool, who obviously didn’t know anything. Hyesung loved Junjin too much to stab him to the back. He would have rather died than thrown Junjin under the bus.
“Hey, do you want to get some coffee?” Eric suggested. “I know a great place, where paparazzi won’t find you.”
Hyesung should have been smart and reject the offer, but he was so foolishly and embarrassingly in love with Eric that he responded, “I’ll get dressed.” Eric entered the apartment and waited in the foyer that Hyesung got ready.
“He is still asleep,” Minwoo said as soon as he entered the kitchen. “We should let him sleep.” he leaned to the kitchen cabinet and looked at his phone. “He doesn’t have schedules today.” Minwoo then put his phone away.
“I’ll make us a cup of coffee,” Dongwan said and opened the cupboards like it was his house.
It was obvious that the man had been there often. Minwoo knew that Dongwan wasn’t just a friend. Junjin was precious trying to keep the truth from Minwoo, but it was obvious. Dongwan knew how to play innocent. Girls and guys loved it. He wasn’t Junjin’s friend just because they got along. They were very similar.
“How do you take your coffee?” Dongwan interrogated.
“Black, with sprinkle of sugar.” Minwoo replied.
The other short man poured coffee to an adorable pink cup and then passed it to the manager. Minwoo thanked him and then sipped it. After the night of drinking, it felt good. Dongwan had a cup too.
“So,” he began. “How long have you been Junjin’s manager?”
Minwoo looked at him, raising an eyebrow. “You’re friends with him. You should know,” he sipped the coffee again. “How long have you two been hiding from me?” Minwoo asked. Dongwan visibly stiffened in his spot. Minwoo was staring at him. Even if his eyes were small, they managed to frighten Dongwan. “I became his manager after the first album,” Minwoo responded.
“Ah,” Dongwan whispered.
