Chapter 25: Explain.

“Oppa, let’s go back,”

Yuri tugged on Nichkhun’s arm as Nichkhun obliged to his girlfriend’s request.

Hand in hand, they walked back.

Just as they were nearing the dorm, the door opened.

Yuri slipped her hand out of Nichkhun’s grip at once.

It was Jaejoong.

“H…Hi Jaejoong…”

“Hey, you’re back with Nichkhun?”

“Yeah…he was throwing tantrums…”

Nichkhun turned to look at Yuri with confused eyes.

“Oh…Uh, well, I guess I got to go now.”

“See you then.”

“Yeah, see you too. Oh, my mum, she told me that we might be meeting our parents tomorrow night, so I’ll probably be fetching you.

Yuri gulped.

She could now feel Nichkhun’s eyes on her.

“Yes sure, I uh, why don’t you call me for the details? It’s late now, you should get going.”

Jaejoong shrugged his shoulders casually and left with a wave.

And not to mention, a dazzling smile.

As Jaejoong walked away, he knew that he had already fallen in love with Yuri.

But what can I do?

She loves Nichkhun.

Unless…I can make her fall in love with me…

Yuri felt herself swoon over Jaejoong’s charm once again.

“What the heck is going on now?”

Crap.

“It’s not what you think, oppa.”

Yuri explained calmly as Nichkhun raised his eyebrow with a mix of anger, confusion and jealousy.

In an attempt to calm himself down, he took a cup of water and drank it slowly.

Nichkhun’s reaction made Yuri even more frantic.

Beneath her calm exterior, Yuri was actually panicking.

Standing at one side, Sunny was waiting for an answer too.

After all, it concerned Jaejoong.

Wrong, HER Jaejoong.

“Okay…”

Yuri took in a deep breath before continuing.

“It’s like this. My parents, they arranged a marriage for me to Jaejoong so as to expand their business.”

Nichkhun choked on his water while Sunny’s eyes almost popped out.

“I know, it’s unfair. Trust me, I didn’t approve of it. I yelled at my mum to cancel it, but…it seems like she didn’t.”

Nichkhun clenched his fist in anger as Sunny slapped her forehead.

“So…are you going to that dinner tomorrow?”

Nichkhun questioned Yuri with fury burning in his eyes.

“I…I think I’m going.”

Nichkhun’s face grew redder.

“So I can clarify to them that I only love one person – Nichkhun Horvejkul.”

The redness on Nichkhun’s face vanished immediately.

He smiled, as he took Yuri’s hand.

“Arasso, I respect your decision. Shall I go with you?”

“Ani, I’ll be fine on my own.”

Nichkhun hugged Yuri tightly, as he whispered into her ear.

“Thank you Yuri, I love you.”

“AHEM.”

The two looked up to see Sunny swatting playfully at them.

“This is too mushy for my innocent eyes.”

And so, the trio laughed together all night.

Outside the door, Yunho heard it all.

Right, tomorrow, I shall let Yuri know who’s the best of them all.

Yunho took out a picture of Yuri that was placed in a heart-shaped keychain.

He the face lovingly and longingly and kissed it before bringing the chain to his chest.

My Yuri…
