When Mir woke up the next morning he was alone in the motel room. He sat up in the single bed and rubbed the sleep out of his tired eyes and looked around. There was a meal waiting on the small table for him and when his stomach grumbled loudly he scrambled out of bed and went over. There was a note card placed by it from Joon and Mir smiled contently as he read it.

I left for school and I have class all day long. I’ll stop by at lunch so we can eat together^^

Be sure to take another painkiller if you’re still sore, they’re in the bag, and get a lot of rest so you can get better! I’ll be home soon, don’t worry~

Joon

He sat down on the chair and took the plastic wrapping off the bowl of rice and vegetables and began to eat, savoring the taste of Joon’s amazing cooking skills. He’d always wondered how Joon learned to cook so well, most guys could even make a bowl of cereal and Joon was able to make a full course meal. It was all part of his charm and Mir really admired him for it. Because of that fact alone that Joon could cook, Mir was able to gain weight and was looking healthier; Joon really was a life saver.

After breakfast, Mir really didn’t want to stay cooped up in the room all day long. It was still early enough in the morning that he could go to school and only have missed one hour, but he knew with the way he was looking that it wasn’t such a good idea. Not that anyone had ever cared about the bruises before, but he just didn’t want to risk it. Like, what if his parents were looking for him and told the school? They would definitely call and inform them that he was there. Yeah right, don’t be stupid, Mir. As if they’d waste the time of day to report you missing. They’re probably happier than ever to finally be rid of me…I should be happy too. I am, I’m happy with Joon. But he shouldn’t have been trying to convince himself that fact.

He sighed and went to the bag and pulled out some clothes. They all belonged to Joon so it really didn’t matter what he decided to wear. After getting dressed he took the bottle of painkillers and dumped one into his palm and broke it in half. He got a cup of water and quickly washed it down, hoping that half would ease the pain enough but not make him drowsy. He wanted to be awake for when Joon came back for lunch.

He didn’t know why, well he did, but being around Joon sort of felt weird. Of course, he still liked Joon a lot and he was the most important person to Mir, but…they still needed to talk about a lot of things. Mir had so many questions going through his mind that he just wasn’t at ease. He worked out enough that he was in deep affection for Joon and vice versa, but he didn’t kn
