Ch.1
My SupermanJoon stared up at the tall building before him and took a deep breath. This was it, the start of a new beginning and a new life. He knew now that everything was going to be different, he was going to start college tomorrow and today would be the first day of living on his own. He tightened his grip on his bag, the rest of his belongings were still in the car, and made his way into the complex.
Heading for the elevator, he pressed the button for the 12th floor and waited for the floor to arrive. When the bell dinged and the doors opened, he walked forward to the middle of the hallway. Room B214. Joon reached into his pocket and pulled out the small key that the landlord had given him a week ago when he had purchased the apartment.
He pushed the door open and walked inside.
Well…home sweet home.
He dropped his bag to the floor and went about the apartment to open the windows to get some fresh air circulating about. It was nothing fancy, just a one bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath/laundry. It was perfect for someone who was just starting out on his own.
His parents had already hired movers to bring in the furniture a few days ago, so the apartment was already set with a nice bed, couch, table, and all sorts of utensils their baby would need. They were so proud that he was moving out (because now they could turn his old bedroom into a new entertainment room just like they’d always wanted).
After the windows were opened and he looked around the apartment, Joon shut the door and went back down to his car to start bringing his boxes of belongings inside, setting them in stacks in the living room.
