My SupermanWhen Monday morning arrived, Joon dropped off Mir and Jiyoung at the high school. He’d gone in yesterday to enroll Jiyoung and Mir promised to show her around so she didn’t feel isolated at a new school. Joon was really glad it was one of those low profile high schools that let anyone in without asking questions. Basically, it was a school for the poor; but hey, at least Mir and Jiyoung got to go to school.
It was looking out to be a good day, the weather was fair and the sun was shining brightly as the two teens walked through the front doors of the school. Mir smiled as Jiyoung looked around excitedly.
“We’re a little early so I’ll show you where your classes are before the bell rings. Where’s your schedule?” He said as they walked through the halls. Jiyoung dug around in the pocket of her hoodie and pulled out a folded piece of paper.
“Mir, you have to help me look for a guy in a black shirt. I asked my mother to send me a sigh that the guy I’m going to marry will wear a black shirt. I know I’ll find him today!” She said brightly, looking around for any signs of the male species. Mir looked at her weirdly but shook his head.
“Your first three classes are in this hallway and the gym is at the end. The cafeteria is in the other direction, but since neither of us has any money there’s no point in going there. Usually sit with one of my teachers in his classroom,” Mir informed her.
“Oh, okay. Hey, Mir? How come we’re staying in a motel? What’s wrong with Joon’s apartment that he has to move? And how come you’re staying with him?” Jiyoung asked curiously as she linked their arms together. Mir frowned slightly, still feeling a little guilty because Joon was giving up his home just for him; it made him feel bad because he wasn’t even sure he was going to keep staying with Joon.
