The fresh morning air was cool and smelled of the beginnings of summer. The sun was slowly rising and the sky was a beautiful pinkish orange color of cat vomit. It was Saturday morning and Jiyoung was walking down the path of an old neighborhood, where she used to live with her umma. There was a cemetery at the end of the road, which was where her destination lied. She made this journey every Saturday morning even when the weather was unpleasurable.

As she walked through the old metal gates, blackened with age and creaking from the wind, she smiled to herself at the serene aura she got every time she visited the graveyard. Unlike some people who thought that cemeteries were creepy, Jiyoung enjoyed the peaceful quietness of the area and the bright green grass with all the tall oak trees lingering around. She liked to think that her mother was happy there, that when her spirit came back to visit on these mornings she would be happy to be in such a pretty place.
