Now that she had started crying she wasn’t sure she could stop. The way he smelled, the feel of his body against hers and the sound of his voice softly in her ear did absolutely nothing to calm her down. She had to get away from him. She needed to pull herself together.

She pushed him away gently. The confusion in his eyes was very apparent. He must have thought that she didn’t want his comfort, when in reality it was the exact opposite. His comforting made her want to cry all the tears she had held in for so many years and she wasn’t prepared for the way that felt.

“Should I have not done that?” he asked her gently, taking a step back to give her some room. To be honest, her confession and then the kiss she gave him had made him want hold her and never let her go. This woman kept inspiring emotions in that that he had never felt before. She shook her head before speaking, which was difficult as she still cried.

“I…I….appreci….ate what you did” she was still trying to calm herself down. She was still crying but it is less heavy and seemed to be less closed up. “It isn’t that I don’t want you to comfort me, it just that when you held me and sang, I wanted to cry. Just cry and not stop until all the pain from the past is gone. That has never happened to me before. It was a very scary feeling actually.” She made sure to be very honest with him because….because….she wasn’t really sure why. She didn’t usually open up to people this easily and
