Andy
Love Him for MeTidy a little bit of Chapter 2. Maybe I'll tidy every Chapter when I post the next =)
The sun is scorching, and the air dry. It is a perfect day to stay in the comfort of an air-condition room, but three friends solemnly trudge along the pavement. For the past years, rain or shine, they never failed to meet up on this date.
“I miss when Andy was with us,” Minwoo confesses. “When we were all living together.”
“All of us do.” Dongwan replies, smiling for the sake of Minwoo. Junjin just kept quiet, like he always does on this date. Dongwan doesn’t blame the younger man.
“Jin-ah, do you remember your first birthday in the dorm? When Andy baked the cake and we sneaked out here to give you a surprise?” Dongwan tries to get Junjin to reminisce about happier memories.
The corner of Minwoo’s lips lift lightly at the piece of memory. Andy’s effort went into the drain when they playfully pushed Junjin’s face into the cake and everyone ended up with remains of the cake as ammo. He remembers Andy’s kind and genuine smile. He was the one holding his hyungs together. Maybe that was why everything they had shattered when he was gone.
The three men finally reached their destination, shoes meeting the pure white sand, and maybe the cremated ash of their friend who left them years ago on this very day. This was Andy’s favourite beach. Also a place that holds many of their dearest memories.
Minwoo halts all of a sudden, pulling his friends to a stop. Dongwan turns in to Minwoo, his puzzlement immediately answered by the man’s countenance. His heart dips and clenches involuntarily. Dongwan raises his head. A familiar silhouette stood facing the sea, a bouquet of white lilies in front of him. As if sensing their presence, the man turns over to the three friends.
Eric snorts derisively. “You came.” His gaze is piercing, full of hatred. Eric advances to the men, his stance slow and precise, like a panther stalking its prey. He stops when he reaches beside Dongwan, the two men facing different directions. “How hypocritical…” Eric whispers, ignoring the other two men.
Dongwan clenches his fist tightly, trying to get a hold of himself. “Speak for yourself.”
Eric doesn’t take offence. He gives a sardonic smile, knowing exactly how to agitate the man. “You cannot protect him for long. I’ll kill him. I’ll torture and kill him when you least expect it.” His tone is calm, so controlled. But the other man blows up as Eric wanted.
Dongwan swings a punch at Eric, hitting him right across the face.
“Dongwan!”
“Hyung!”
Junjin and Minwoo quickly grab hold of him and pull him back.
Eric rubs his swollen cheek. His expression is more mocking than before, as if he is relishing watching the out of control Dongwan. “And the journalist…” He announces loudly. “I am claiming him.”
“Don’t you dare touch Hyesung.” Dongwan tries to swing another punch, but his actions are restraint by his two friends.
“Why?! Is he yours? Did you claim him?”
Dongwan stares at Eric with bloodshot eyes. “It is my job to protect him.”
“I almost forgot you got demoted because of me.” Eric laughs. “How moving. Should I be touched?” He looks at Dongwan straight in the eye, “was it also your job to shout his name at the summit of every hills and mountains?”
I am sorry I killed my bias right at the start of the story!!! T.T I also wish he could live. Maybe I'll dedicate a bonus chapter about his life before the mess started in the lives of other characters =X
