Angel & Human's first love

"... No need to, dad. I’m doing fine." Bomi left the café while answering a call. "I already told you, I want to do it alone... How is mom?"

She had started her search for the “Angeli Coffee”. There was no information on the Internet, at least not in the city, and she visited the nearby cafés every morning before work.

However, it was only less than a week before the meeting and she had no direction or track. She was afraid they might be fooling her...

"... I'm going there, it's really a pretty interesting job..." On the other side of the phone her father kept insisting on some topic. "Really dad, I'm fine. Ooops, I've arrived, I have to hang up... yes ... kisses to you and mom."

"Did you know that liars don’t go to heaven?" That voice scared Bomi and she almost threw away the phone and the coffee she was carrying. Actually, she wasn’t close to her work yet.

"Excuse me?" Bomi did not recognize the girl, but she smiled at being caught. "It was just a little lie... do I know you?"

"I guess you don’t remember me, I'm Namjoo." That did not help much, Bomi didn’t really have the best memory in the world. It became obvious and Namjoo had to remind her. "You know my friend Naeun." Bomi nodded with interest. "A few years ago... what was it? Oh yeah. You had an accident."

"Ohh! I see! You were the other girl," Bomi shouted, causing the people around to turn around to watch.

"Yes that. Do you mind if I accompany you? "Namjoo said, embarrassed.

"Sure, I'm sorry," Bomi whispered. They crossed the street and passed through a small park. "I didn’t have the chance to thank you that time. Thank you."

"Why? Oh, sure." Namjoo tried to remember the story they told her when she woke up after they erased her memory. "Hey, I'm actually here because I have a message for you."

"A message for me? Wait..." Bomi stopped, unsure. "Sorry, but this is weird. It's been four years since I last saw you two and suddenly you have things to tell me. Should I be worried?"

"Hahaha... yeah, I guess we're a bit strange. But don’t worry, we do not hurt." Namjoo kept walking.

Bomi followed her, she couldn’t help but trust that pair of strangers anyway. Also, they seemed to know about what has not letting her sleep for the last couple of weeks.

"So, what's the message?" Bomi recalled, reaching Namjoo, she surely was fast.

"It's all in this envelope. Can I give you some advice?" Bomi received the envelope as if it were a treasure and nodded. "Dress in white, that gives extra points. Good luck and bye!"

"Dress in white?... hey! Wait!" Again she had half information.

The envelope was on the coffee table. Bomi had not wanted to open it at work, this needed privacy. But now that she was at home, in her most comfortable pajamas and everything in calm, she was afraid.

Neither could she explain it. She had waited for this all this time. The clue to solve this problem.

She stopped spinning, took a deep breath and began to open the envelope.

"A flyer?" Bomi reviewed the contents of the envelope. A small pamphlet elegantly decorated.

[- GREAT OPENING-

ANGELI COFFEE

DATE: SATURDAY 3RD, 5:00 PM.

ADDRESS: # 15, Itaewon 2(I)-dong Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

"Amor est vitae essentia"]

After reading it, she hurried to look for it in Internet. But absolutely nothing appeared. And the worst of all is that that address didn’t exist. There was not a #15 there.

Thinking it could be a mistake or a possible new building, she took her keys and went down to the garage, where her car was.

The building’s guard watched as the girl walked hurriedly with her heart-shaped pattern pajamas and quilted slippers.

It took her quite a while to get to the place and when she did, she saw that, indeed, there was no such number.

She got out of the car and started walking around the neighborhood.

NOTHING.

No trace of a coffee called like that. The date was relatively close, preparations should have started already.

*A while ago, in heaven.

"Unnie, have you found an excuse?" Hayoung asked, resting on one of the temple's couches.

"What are you talking about, Hayoung?" Eunji was still staring at her new creation, a book 'unnecessarily heavy and long about a new entertainment of humans' according to Hayoung.

"You’re an angel of wisdom and still, you don’t know what I'm talking about?" Eunji ignored the last comment of her young friend and continued writing. "Unnie... sometimes I'm willing to listen, you know?"

"Hayoung, it's nice of you, but I don’t need..." Hayoung had approached and looked at her questioningly. "Okay. I’ll tell you. I don’t love this idea. Done. There you go."

Hayoung smiled proudly for her victory.

"And what do you like the least, that Chorong Unnie is risking the whole heaven or that she does it just for her?"

"Too many questions for an angel as busy as you... Naeun must be back already," Eunji said wearily.

"And few answers to be an angel with all the answers like you. But yes, I'm leaving. I promised her that we would go to a Pilates class together..."

"Haha! Oh Hayoung is working out! Naeun has done a miracle after all." Eunji annoyed her.

"You were the one who said that I should participate in her interests... I begin to regret." Hayoung looked tired from just thinking about it, she said goodbye with a grunt that seemed something between a complaint and farewell at the same time.

Eunji was relieved to be alone again, however, she couldn’t focus in her activities anymore. As usual she seated in front of the silver pool in the center of the temple.

She watched a certain human in particular. Yoon Bomi.

She wanted to figure out what kind of person she was. Looking for a defect serious enough to justify the discomfort in her stomach every time Chorong mentioned her. Which, to her dismay, happened very often.

Angels have feelings too. They can be hurt too.

That girl seemed so… common.

...

"Angel Ahn, you’re replacing Naeun-ssi today, isn’t it?" Eunji appeared at the guardian headquarters.

"Eunji-ssi! It is a pleasant surprise to see you here. Yes, it's my shift", the guardian angel said proudly.

"You guys work hard... I knew you came back from your vacation just today" Eunji looked at the girl with great consternation.

"In fact, I came from the Western Heaven a few hours ago..." the angel said sighing heavily. "But it was fun, they have a wonderful spa there."

"Would you like me to cover you?" Angel Ahn looked confused and before she said anything, Eunji kept talking, "I want to try being a guardian-angel for a day, you know… I trained for a while to be one and I couldn’t try."

"Ehh... I could not leave all this work to you alone, it's very heavy!"

"Do not worry, I know the human. My unnie was her guardian!" She answered cheerfully.

"Oh! Chorong sunbaenim! Right… So, I think there would be no problem... Besides, you are very reliable. But…"

"I’ll report to the HA if necessary, don’t worry~"

With that the deal was sealed. Eunji is an intelligent angel after all.

*A/N Couldn't help but to play with EunRong here... But Eunji needs to be sure that the girl is worth for it.
