Solstice
Phone Calls2014. December.
Her message came like a splash of cold water in winter. It's a cold December morning, and he just finished breakfast and was preparing to go to the studio when his phone chimed.
I'm going to LA to see my sister today. I don't know when I'll be back.
He was still in shock when her second message came.
I'll miss you.
That's when he knew he has to see her.
Her fingers trembled when she typed her words carefully. She didn't want in to be some long heart wrenching message of goodbye--she'll be back sooner or later anyway, why the drama?-- and she tried to be as short and on point as possible.
I'm going to LA to see my sister today. I don't know when I'll be back.
I'll miss you.
There I said it, Soojung closed her eyes afteri clicking send.
He begged and begged and begged Yonghwa and his manager to let him go.
"A week, just a week hyung, please please please..." he was sitting in front of Yonghwa, hands in his knees and eyes looking straight at Yonghwa's eyes. Kang Minhyuk was begging wiht his whole body.
"You really care about her that much, aren't you?"
"I do."
Yonghwa looked at their manager, who shrugged and said. "You have nothing to do for a month anyway."
Minhyuk's face beamed with happiness.
"Eyy, we have to prepare for the new album as soon as possible." Yonghwa contemplated.
"I'll work hard, I promise, hyung. I'll work harder than our training days, I'll help you and I'll do whatever you told me to do."
Yonghwa smirked. "WIll you?"
"I'll do! I'll even deliver those suspicious Victoria's Secret packages to Seohyun for you!"
"Ya!" Yonghwa flicked Minhyuk's forehead. "What the hell?!"
"I mean it, I'll do anything if you let me go."
"Five days." their manager said.
Minhyuk's face beamed with happiness.
"And in January. We have year-end music festival, Minhyuk-ah." Yonghwa added.
"It's okay! It's totally okay. Thank you hyung! Thank you! You will not regret this!"
