It's been exactly a year since Momo left. Tzuyu was sitting inside her home dressed warmly, in an oversized sweater and tights, drinking some nice hot cocoa. She couldn't help but remember the last time she saw Momo that night a year ago...

Momo was walking Tzuyu to the laters home, dropping her off from work. They were very close friends with each other and we're as close as sisters. When they reached Tzuyu's house, they bid their goodbyes and went their separate ways. 

 

Later that night...

 

From: Momo-unnie❤️

 

Momo was already putting on her coat and heading toward the park when she got a reply from the girl. 

 

From: My Chewy❤️

 

Momo couldn't help but feel her heart flutter at the message.

 

Tzuyu was getting ready to meet Momo, but suddenly she thought

 

 

Tzuyu's heart aches at the thoughts of Momo every leaving her, but then she feels this weird sensation of desperately wanting to see Momo, all the time. To be honest, Tzuyu has been feeling this way for quite a while, but she never knew what it was. Her heart would ache when she saw Momo with someone, she would feel extremely warm when they were close together, and when they separated, she always missed her. In the end, Tzuyu figured it was just the effects of a deep lasting friendship. 

 

Tzuyu soon arrived at their secret place, the park. Well it wasn't very secret, but it was a small secluded area in the nearby woods. The two would always go there to talk, hang out, or just to relax, it was soon a habit to always meet up there for whatever reason. 

 

When she got there, she immediately spotted Momo's blonde hair and waved toward her. Tzuyu greeted her friend with a small hug and a bright smile.

 

"Hey unnie!" Tzuyu said.

 

"Hey chewy..." Momo replied, directing her attention to the ground.

 

"What did you need to tell me unnie?" Tzuyu asks, rising an eyebrow at Momo's strange behavior. 

 

"Chewy, I-I have something to confess..." Momo says, turning around so that she's not facing Tzuyu. 

 

Momo takes and deep breath and continues. 

 

"I-I love you. B-But this isn't the normal friend love, chewy. I-I really love you, like the way a boy would love a girl." Momo confesses, stuttering due to nervousness.

 

Tzuyu's eyes widen in pure surprise and confusion, trying to process the words coming out of Momo's mouth. 

 

 

Momo senses the surprise and shock she has caused Tzuyu without even turning around, so she takes a moment before continuing. 

 

"I know your shocked, chewy. But all these years we've been friends I slowly came to realize that I love you, sincerely. So please tell me your honest answer, do you love me too Tzuyu?" Momo asks, turning around to finally face her long time crush. 

 

Before Tzuyu can answer, it starts to snow. The first snowfall. 

 

The two immediately look up at the sky at the same exact time and watch the snow fall for an agonizing minute. 

 

They finally make eye contact with each other. Tzuyu searches Momo's eyes, for any explanation, any reason, for her sudden confession. Momo does the same, searching Tzuyu's eyes for any sign of love, anything that would tell her that everything would be okay.

 

"M-Momo-unnie... I-I'm sorry... I-I don't love you that way..." Tzuyu says, finally breaking the silence. 

 

 

Momo's gaze drops back to the ground. She looks up at Tzuyu, her beautiful sparkling eyes now filled with tears, painful ones. The cold snow stinging Momo's heart even more. 

 

Tzuyu feels a sharp pain in her chest when she sees Momo cry. She feels the urge to hug the girl and comfort her. She takes a step forward and reaches out for Momo, but the next action hurts her even more...

 

Momo takes a step back.

 

Tzuyu tries to make eye contact with the girl, desperation clearly showing in her eyes. Momo refuses her attempt and she hurriedly wipes her tears, only to have them flow out again. 

 

"I-I'm... Just... Gonna... G-Go... Now... T-Tzuyu..." Momo manages to say in between sobs. 

 

Momo walks away, leaving a hurt Tzuyu and their friendship behind. Tzuyu stands there frozen in place, not believing the events that just happened. Eventually she makes her way back to her house and collapses into tears, for unknown reasons.

That same night, Momo disappeared and Tzuyu found out that she loved, the one and only, Hirai Momo.

Tzuyu sits near the window, watching people move from place to place, her hot cocoa long gone. She eventually decides to visit the secret place, again. Ever since Momo disappeared, Tzuyu would always visit the place, with hopes of finding Momo. 

 

She heads out the door and makes her way to the park. When she arrives, she is overwhelmed with the same feeling as the last time she was here, 

 

Regret.

 

And pain. 

 

It hurts, but this time it's unbearable. The weight and pressure of her emotions are consuming her. And her mind and heart are begging for a release. And that's exactly what she does. 

 

Tzuyu falls on her knees, it hurts, but not as much as her heart does. She's beginning to think she deserves the pain and the suffering for what she did to Momo, for what she put Momo through. 

 

It must of been hard for Momo, to love someone else, but know that you will never be together. Momo put everything on the line when confessing to Tzuyu and all she did was reject her. 

 

It still wonders Tzuyu, why would Momo love her? Why would she risk everything just for her? Why isn't Momo there? With her? 

 

Tzuyu couldn't take it anymore. 

 

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Tzuyu cries out, painfully. 

 

"IM SORRY, IM SORRY, IM SORRY!! I REGRET IT ALL!!! I-I..." Tzuyu yells at the top of her lungs,  hoping that wherever Momo is, she'll hear it. "I love you Hirai Momo!!! I'm sorry, I lied to you that day!! But I realized I love you!! I-I couldn't tell you because you left! But you were always in my heart! Ever since you left... I've felt all... Alone... Abandoned... And pained... I'm sorry for not telling you sooner! I'm sorry for rejecting you the first time! I'm sorry for putting you through all that pain! I'm sorry for not noticing your feelings! I'm sorry for being so stupid! I'm sorry you had to see me everyday! I'm sorry you had to love me..." By the time Tzuyu finishes her confession, she's sobbing her heart out and bowing deeply on the ground. 

 

Tzuyu is still crying on the ground when she suddenly feels a pair of hands rub her back, lovingly. She shoots up, her eyes widen and she barely manages to whisper,

 

"Momo..."

 

Momo is kneeling down beside Tzuyu with a smile on her face. Tzuyu literally jumps into Momo's arms causing both of them to fall on the ground. Momo laughs at Tzuyus actions, while Tzuyu is crying happily. 

 

When Tzuyu calms down and her tears have taken a break, Momo begins to explain everything, from the moment she disappeared to now.

 

"When I disappeared that night, I found out that my parents had just gotten into a car accident and was in critical condition. My aunt works at the airport, so she got me a ticket for that same night, I rushed over right after you rejected me. When I got to Japan I was exhausted, but I went to go see my parents at the hospital. They were unconscious at the time, but after a couple of days they finally woke up. Honestly, I didn't want to call or text you after you rejected me, but I just couldn't handle not being able to hear your voice and to see you everyday. I tried to call with my cell phone over a hundred times, but it didn't work in Japan. I had to constantly take care of both of my parents and after a year had passed they had gotten so well, they were almost normal again. I told them a lot about you and they said they wanted to meet you someday. They sent me back to here last night and I just came here and saw you. I heard everything you said and I just wanted to say, after all this time, I have loved you all this time chewy. I still love you even though I went through a lot of pain because of you, I still love you, with all my heart. So Chou Tzuyu, will you please be my girlfriend?" Momo finishes.

 

Tzuyu is again brought to happy tears as she says,

 

"Yes!"

 

And that was their story of the first snowfall.
