**************************************************************

No way.

They didn't even call a foul.

Hoseok grips his seat tightly as he watches the Luca Goers pummel Yoongi again and again, even when the latter has already crashed his ribs in and he's barely even floating in the water. How can the commentators let them do this to a player? It's not even like the other Al Bhed players are getting attacked. It's only Yoongi.

Why?

Why is Yoongi the only one?

Even worse is that Hoseok has a nagging feeling at the very back of his mind and it's probably something to do with why Yoongi's getting viciously assaulted.

Hoseok looks around him. How sick can these people be? None of them are even flinching, even when Yoongi's sinking to the bottom of the sphere from his injuries. Not even when that Bickson guy comes in for another hit when Yoongi's obviously going to die already.

"And player Min Yoongi of the Al Bhed Psyches are down!" the male commentator yells.

The next comment by the female commentator has Hoseok gritting his teeth and growling.

"Well, he looks like he's in pretty bad shape. Good riddance."

Hoseok's blood boils as he stands up abruptly, shocking the people around him. He can feel the energy, the power crackling around him as suddenly, dark clouds gather overhead and thunder rumbles in the sky. They say Guado can accomplish impressive feats when their emotion takes control of their power.

Hoseok has never felt so angry in his life as he walks down the aisle, electricity sparks flying from his feet with every step. Thunder roars again, and lightning begins striking the area around the sphere as Hoseok breaks into a run, swinging himself over the railing and water from the sphere meets him mid-fall, cushioning his fall as Hoseok dismisses the water. Black Mages don't exactly control the elements. They just control the pyreflies in the elements.

Hoseok hits the ground and runs towards Yoongi's sinking body, bashed and beaten harshly as the water from the water sphere is destroyed, water splashing in waves around the arena. People start screaming as Hoseok holds up a hand, stopping the water from splashing onto him and Yoongi as he scoops up the smaller's broken body into his arms.

"Holy sh*t, Yoongi, I knew something was going to happen," Hoseok watches as Yoongi's breathing is shallow, lashes fluttering. Well, he's really made a show. Hoseok looks around him, and notices Crusaders streaming into the stadium. They're going to get caught, and he doesn't like it.

But they're not going to find him in that bubble in the middle of the flooded stadium as rain begins to patter down hard against the ground. Hoseok grabs a feather from his belt and gently helps Yoongi swallow it with an X-Potion. Soon, Crusaders are going to storm this place, but he's not going to let them get to Yoongi without a fight.

And his mana is going to run out soon if he doesn't do something.

Hoseok grunts as he hauls Yoongi onto his back, trying to be careful not to damage him anymore than he already is before the Phoenix Down takes effect. When you're knocked out or simply too injured for a Potion to heal you, you have to rely on Phoenix Downs, which are, contrary to belief, quite common in Spira.

Hoseok runs, and the little bubble follows him. He manages to make it out of a side exit in the stadium (which isn't swarmed by Crusaders) and rushes off in the direction of Mi'ihen Highroad.

Yoongi stirs a little as Hoseok runs, puffing and panting, opening his bleary eyes as he notices the source of that heavenly smell. He has his face buried into Hoseok's shoulder as Hoseok carries him, and he's vaguely aware of how close Hoseok is to him.

"Y-Yoongi! You're awake?" Hoseok speaks through pants as he continues running. Yoongi nods ever so slightly, the Phoenix Down already working their magic on his insides. He's just tired. Plain tired. Nothing a little rest can't heal. Yoongi nuzzles his head into the crook of Hoseok's shoulder, trying to block out the ringing in his ears as his ribs throb.

Hoseok makes his way past the monsters, and without a second thought, rushes into the Rin's Travel Agency, a little worn out from running so much, and luckily for him, it looks like none of the Crusaders have made it past the Mi'ihen Highroad, and it looks like now it'll be impossible to get the World Champion. Not only that, but attacking the Blitzball Stadium will put a bounty on your head, and bounty hunters love them bounties.

Hoseok looks up at an Al Bhed, who's staring at him in shock. Seemingly knowing his circumstance, she shows him to a room, with a Queen-sized bed. He carefully lays Yoongi down on the bed, the elder's breathing improving. At least he didn't puncture a long or something.

To be honest, Hoseok hadn't expected something like this to happen. He didn't expect Yoongi to get attacked. He didn't expected the commentators and the guards not to step in. It is as if the whole world has something against Yoongi, or that the entire Lucan company sides with the Luca Goers.

Hoseok hasn't even noticed himself clutching so tightly at the bedsheets that his knuckles are turning white and his fingernails are digging into his palms through the soft fabric. Yoongi opens one eye to look at him, and Hoseok feels relieved all over again. He doesn't even know why he's feeling so happy that Yoongi's alive. Did something happen before he lost his memories?

But Hoseok has had strange, weird dreams in the middle of the night, always about a mysterious man, face always shrouded by a cloud of mist when he visits dreamland, and he looks...surprisingly like Yoongi. Maybe that's why Hoseok has always been labelling the man as 'Yoongi'.

"I'm feeling a little thirsty," Yoongi tugs at his sleeve. "You know, that feeling when you need water?"

Hoseok moves over silently to a complementary water bottle in the small hotel-inn thing and hands it over to Yoongi, his eyes betraying his worry. Yoongi laughs a little as he sits upright, sipping the water gratefully. "Relax. I'm not weak. It's got to take more than that to kill me."

Hoseok bites his lip as he continues watching Yoongi as he screws the cap back on and places it at the side, using the back of his hand to wipe his mouth. "So...we're never getting the World Champion unless we steal it."

"Yeah," Hoseok nods.

Then it hits them at the same time.

Well, at least Hoseok thinks so, with the same devillish grin they give each other.

***********************************************************************

"I really wish we had Taehyung here. It would have made it easier," Hoseok chuckles as quietly as he can as he and Yoongi saunter through the streets of Luca, apparently devoid of a single living soul after the Stadium got torn down. Even though the number of people in Luca have considerably lessened, Yoongi still has to struggle to hide that monstrous arm underneath that black layer of clothing, so as ot prevent suspicion.

"It's there," Hoseok points to the cafe that they had come to the second time they entered Luca, and the two clutch their cloaks (in which they have borrowed from the Rin's Travel Agency) as they walk into the now-empty cafe, aside from the barkeeper, who's downing a glass of who-knows-what.

"Customers? I didn't expect that," she smiles as she plops the glass down on the wood. "Wait a minute..."

The bartender's smile fades as quickly as it had come. "Oh, it's you two. What do you want now?"

"The World Champion," Yoongi removes his hood and points to the blitzball still above the bartender's head in the glass wall.

The bartender looks up at the blitzball. "Hmm...you didn't exactly win the competition but I'm really a little lazy right now," she gulps down the rest of whatever's in her glass and grins. "Tell you what. The Jupiter Crest is hidden somewhere in Luca. It's the missing component to the World Champion you see right there. Find it, and the weapon's yours."

"Is there, like, a clue or something?" Hoseok asks hopefully.

"It's something you've got to earn," says the bartender. "Now, beat it."

With that, she kicks them out into the giant city of Luca.

**************************************************************

"We don't even have a single clue," Hoseok whines as Yoongi leads them wordlessly throughout the city, venturing into that one lone antique shop in a small, seedy alleyway which was evacuated, and yet they still couldn't find anything.

"Where can it be...?" Yoongi grits his teeth as his cloak swishes around his feet, and he and Hoseok try to subtly avoid any passing, complaining Crusaders.

It's only until they walk near the Stadium that Yoongi remembers something, snapping his fingers and almost yelling out. Hoseok looks at him worriedly.

"I forgot!" Yoongi grins at him, and Hoseok has never seen the elder this happy before. "I have the Pathfinder!"

"Pathfinder?" Hoseok watches, furrowing his brow as Yoongi picks out a tiny machine from within his cloak, in the shape of a beetle with wings. Yoongi places the machine on his finger and looks over at Hoseok, excitement clear on his face.

"Watch."

Yoongi whispers a "Find me the Jupiter's Crest" to the beetle, and the antenna of the mechanical beetle perks up, buzzing a little before shooting off in the direction of...the Stadium?

"Come on! Let's go!" Yoongi grabs Hoseok's arm and they run, their cloaks almost flying off and Hoseok has to pull it over his head again, grinning as he and Yoongi run through the rubble and stones, dodging under arcs and leaping over fallen pillars. It's only when they stop that Yoongi recognizes the place.

"This is the changing room for...the Besaid Aurochs," his smile fades as he watches the beetle slammming itself against the door, trying to gain access. Yoongi grasps the beetle in his fingers and snaps its antenna, the beetle turning itself off. Hoseok watches as Yoongi pushes the door open gently, before entering the dusty room. He walks into the darkness, and Hoseok has to conjure a ball of fire to keep the chills away (and so he can see. Duh).

"It has to be in this room somewhere," Yoongi says, and he runs through a locker with the name Pumma on it. He tosses out old jerseys, a deflated blitzball and a half-eaten sandwich wrapped with plastic. Yoongi curses as he closes the locker, instead opting to open his own locker next.

Something drops out, and he picks it up immediately.

"Hey, this is--" Yoongi examines the tiny object. It's brown and shiny, but not too glittery.

"Is that...the Jupiter's Crest?"

"I think so,' Yoonig nods. He pockets the thing, and closes the door to his locker.

"Why'd you have it...the whole time and you didn't know?"

Yoongi shakes his head. "Was a gift from my dad. I should've known. He was one of the legendary Guardians until he was careless and got killed by the Zu."

"The Zu?"

"Yeah," Yoongi and he clutch their cloaks tightly around themselves as they walk out of the Stadium. "He was a legendary Guardian of the High Summoner Ohalland, who'd used the World Champion before my dad. The Zu is this big bird that roams Bikanel Desert, and it usually kidnaps some of our kind, especially kids, and we'd never see them again."

"I see," Hoseok nods as Yoongi and he enter the Cafe, where the bartender is asleep, head resting on her arms with another giant glass of wine beside her. Yoongi slams the Jupiter Crest down on the table, effectively waking her up as he pins her with his death stare.

"The weapon. Now," Yoongi says, and a slow grin spread across her face as she takes the Crest from his hands.

"You're so gullible."

Immediately, Crusaders burst into the Cafe, swords, daggers, etcetera, raised.

Yoongi curses again, getting out his own blitzball as a fireball appears in Hoseok's hand.

"You're surrounded!" one of the Crusaders yell. "And don't you try to do anything funny!"

"You know, I think we're gonna die here so let me just say that I really lo--" Hoseok starts, but Yoongi pushes him to the ground. "Duck, you idiot!"

A dagger flies overhead, cutting off two strands of Yoongi's hair as it hits the wall beside another short, stout Crusader, splintering the wood. Chaos ensues as Yoongi hits people left and right, Hoseok conjuring up fire, lightning, water and ice as they abandon their cloaks, discarded at the side.

But there's too many. This Cafe is littered with them, and they just keep coming.

It's almost crazy how lucky they are, but Hoseok would like to think that they should treasure whatever they've got.

The Cafe's wall breaks apart, dust flying everywhere as something crashes into the Cafe. He grabs Hoseok's arm and the two of them rush past the muddle of bodies.

"I'll be taking this, thank you!" Hoseok hollers as he grabs the World Champion from the unsuspecting bartender's hands. He launches himself off a guy's head as he crashes into the windscreen of the Farenheit, Yoongi in tow, the latter landing hard on the ground.

"," Yoongi rubs his head from where he hit the floor as the Farenheit begins to move again.

"Yo, you rascals!" Cid yells as the Farenheit roars to life, backing out of the destroyed Cafe.

"Hoseok, look out!" Yoongi dives forward, pushing Hoseok behind him as a dagger flies their way. Yoongi holds his arm out to protect himself, and...

There is no pain. He opens his eyes and looks down at his arm, the one he obtained from the monster. The dagger is stuck in his flesh, the tough skin protecting him from the dagger as he plucks it out, dropping it to the ground. This arm is of use after all.

"Are you okay?"

Yoongi nods as he pants as the Farenheit soars into the sky, through the clouds. Cid grins over at Yoongi and Hoseok.

"Watch this," he jabs a red button and another windscreen appears, and it was as if the windscreen didn't break. Hoseok laughs as he hugs Yoongi tightly.

"Oh my Yevon, we were amazing out there!" he cries, still laughing from the adrenaline rush.

"Yeah...we sure were."

All Yoongi wanted to do right now is sleep, since it's almost 5pm...

"We still have others to collect. Don't you go sleeping on me yet!" Cid yells as the Farenheit takes a sharp right, slamming Yoongi into the wall.

Hoseok looks at the World Champion in his hands. It's all shiny and red, and he inserts the Crest into the indent on the side of the ball, where the Sigil is.

"Hey, have you gotten the weapon back at Baaj Temple?" Yoongi suddenly asks, and Cid smiles.

"Nope. That's why you two are going there early tomorrow!"

***************************************************************

Seokjin almost falls over as Namjoon catches him. There is dirt and blood all over themselves, but none of it matters right now. Namjoon slams his sword into the ground as the three Dark Aeons lie defeated at their feet, fading into bright pyreflies. He and Seokjin glare at the three Summoners, who flee without a word when their Aeons are gone.

"You're...jabbing...my ribs," Seokjin wheezes, and Namjoon chuckles.

"Sorry."

The two of them sit down as Namjoon looks at his new sword, the Masamune glowing shallowly, and Seokjin's sword drops at his side.

"That has to be the most dangerous fight I ever engaged in in my entire life," Namjoon and Seokjin rest a while, downing as many Potions as they need.

"That's the Masamune," Namjoon looks at his weapon and smiles.

"Yeah."

"Well, let's wait for Cid to come back and--"

"Speak of the devil."

Something appears through the clouds and Seokjin waves tiredly at the ship, grinning, and Namjoon can't help but think how pretty Seokjin looks in the evening sun. As he struggles with his raging emotions (and hormones), the Farenheit lands.

"You're late," Seokjin calls up to the figure standing on the top of the Farenheit.

"YOUR HOPE! AT YOUR SERVICE!" Hoseok screams from the top and Yoongi pokes his head out, looking weathered and weary as well.

"Where are the rest?" Seokjin asks, as he picks the Caladbolg up from the ground and slots it into his sheath, Namjoon doing the same.

"Not here yet," Yoongi says, helping the two get onto the ship before it rises from the air again, taking off into the skies, probably to collect Jimin and Jungkook, Taehyung and Buddy.

****************************************************************

"It's probably six feet under," Buddy says, tightening the mask around his face.

Taehyung stamps on the ground. The machine said that it'll be here, but apparently, they've been digging for quite a while, and there's no signs of the Sigil yet.

"Maybe it's not here...whoa!"

Taehyung yells as his mask falls off, something lifting him into the air.

"Oh my Yevon..." Buddy looks over at what has seized Taehyung. A Mandragora?!

He grabs a Grenade and hurls it at the plant, the grenade falling onto the ground and it explodes, the plant screeching as the vine grabbing Taehyung drops.

Taehyung, meanwhile, has managed to mix a Bomb Shell with a Fire Gem, the thing hurtling through the air, and it bursts as it hits the plant, but the Mandragora isn't giving up.

Buddy yells as something hits him, hard, knocking him into the sand. Giant seeds burst out from the Mandragora as it fires Seed Bombs at Buddy, the latter barely managing to concoct a Mighty Wall, deflecting the Seed Bombs away from him.

All of a sudden, a shadow looms over the three of them, the Mandragora suddenly stops fighting, and Taehyung and Buddy look up to the sky.

Something is circling them, a giant vulture-like fiend. With one screech, the fiend dives down, Mandragora in its beak and it rips the Mandragora out of the ground, the plant bursting into pyreflies as it dies.

"Taehyung! It's too dangerous! We have to run!" Buddy calls, running over to Taehyung, but Taehyung has other ideas. He makes for where the Mandragora was. There is something there. Something shiny that he just has to get. Taehyung launches himself into the Mandragora's hole-in-the-ground, fingers closing around the shiny thing--the Mercury Crest!

"Tae!"

Buddy pushes Taehyung to the ground just as the bird dives down to where Taehyung was, digging its beak into the sand as Buddy picks him up and the two of them begin running.

The sun is setting soon, and the bird is still chasing them. Taehyung clutches the Crest to himself as he jumps to avoid the bird, crashing down onto the sand again.

Something about that bird is oddly familiar. That bird...

It comes flashing back to him. Taehyung almost stops running as memories slam into his brain. No wonder that bird looked familiar. It...It was...!

"In here!" Buddy drags Taehyung into a tiny cave, away from the bird's reach. Even if the bird tries to pick at them, its beak is too small and fat to reach into the cave anyway. Buddy presses a button on his watch. He's sending a signal, Taehyung guesses. For Brother and Cid to find them.

"We'll just wait here for Cid and Brother to come get us," Buddy says, giving Taehyung a tired smile. "I'd want to scold you for going against my orders to run, but at least we don't have to go back there to grab it."

"Hey, Buddy." Taehyung calls.

"Yeah?" Buddy watches as the beak retracts again and it's back in, barely missing Taehyung and the younger scoots closer to Buddy.

"What's that bird? And you know what happened to me, don't you?"

Buddy shakes his head, "I don't know what happened to you, but I can guess."

"Tell me, then. Tell me the whole story."
