'Where were you? I've been waiting for you.' Saying her heart thumped hearing his voice the moment she stepped inside his room was an understatement for her face suddenly reddened by the mere statement of the older male.

The latter, who was sitting on his bed, looked straight into her eyes. A slight guilt crept into her when she noticed his swollen eyes. His optics that usually sent countless shivers in every part of her body now sent nothing, but guilt.

'What about your dreams? What happened?' Just how fast the clock ticks, did she moved closer to him. An action she was uncertain a few seconds ago. Releasing her other hand from his grip, she reached to rub his back, wanting to soothe him in every way possible.

'She left me. She died to save me.' The young lass couldn't somehow believe that he was starting to open up to her, yes, she was somewhat thankful, but she couldn't be too selfish not to feel what he was currently feeling. She's not that insensitive. She was far from being one.
