Chanyeol POV

It was a few years since me and Baekkie had adopted. Chanbaek is already studying in Kinderten.

Today its the weekend so I'm at home playing with Chanbaek and Baekkie when there was a knock on the door.

I went to open the door and there my mom stood wearing a very expensive fur coat, dark sunglasses and hair done properly.

"What do you want?" I asked coldly

"Who is it?" Baekkie stood up and walk to the door and was shocked to see who it was. He immediately went behind me looking down

"Umma?" Chanbaek called and walk over to us. Mom looked down at Chanbaek with no expression and look back at me

"I need you to go home now" my mom said 

"No" I simply replied while glaring at her

"Someday you're going to have to take over the business and that day is today... You dad is currently sick so hurry up and come with me!" She said strictly

I looked at Baekkie and he just nodded "We'll be fine" I assure him

I glared at my mom again "Fine"

I turned to Baekkie and Chanbaek, I kiss their foreheads "I'll be back as soon as I can, I left my wallet in the drawer so if you need any money just take it from there" I told Baekkie and walked off while waving at Baekkie and Chanbaek, he waved back and gave him an assuring smile.

Baekhyun POV

When Channie disappeared from sight I closed the door and Chanbaek asked "Who's that umma?"

"It's you grandmother Chanbaek-ah~" I told him and he just gave an 'Oh' face

"Where did appa go?" 

"Appa went to see appa's appa" I said and giggled, purposely trying to make Chanbaek confused.

"Are you hungry? Umma will make bread for you, Chanbaek nod and smile

I made french toast for both me and Chanbaek, we ate happily but felt incomplete without Channie. I thought of what it would be with Channie too,

"Umma already miss appa?" he said and giggled.

"You eat you bread" I scold him trying to look serious but with my blushing face its almost impossible.

Today and onwards until Channie come back, I will be sleeping alone. 

~~Night~~

I layed on the bed and turn to the side where Channie always sleep. I already missed Channie, he's scent is the only thing left of him. I hugged a bolster facing the side where Channie sleeps and imagine me hugging Channie while sleeping.

~~Next day~~

I managed to sleep soundly last night but it wasnt so easy.

I woke up and walked out of the room to call Chanbaek, he has school today.

"Chanbaek-ah" I called for him and shake him gently "You need to go to school"

"I'm up umma~" he said tiredly

I went to the kitchen to prepare cereal for Chanbaek. I place the bowl on the table and pour milk in it

I noticed that Chanbaek still wasnt up so I went to check on him

"Chanbaek" I called, he was still lying on bed "Aigoo this kid knows how to lie to his umma already" I made an angry face "Come here!!" I carried him and swung him around "Ahh!! Umma! haha! Stop umma~" Chanbaek screamed and laughing at the same time. I carried him to the dining "You're how old and you still need umma to carry you to dining table"

Chanbaek ate his cereal with his eyes half closed "I'm tired"

I tickled Chanbaek and he laughed with his eyes wide open "Umma!!"

"Are you awake now" I asked and giggled.

~~~Minutes later~~~

I drop Chanbaek off to school and went back home, I decided to be independent while Channie is gone so I find my own job. I started with an easy job, I worked at a cafe for now. 

I worked from when Chanbaek left for school and when he come back. 

~~Few days~~

I worked for a few days and there was alot of customers trying to flirt with me, it was starting to get uncomfortable.

Then one day when I was working at the cafe I met someone I used to know, he's also Channie's friend before, the one I was closest with other than Channie

I called out to him "D.O!" I waved at him and he gave a shocked expression

"Oh! Baekhyun-ah!" he said with a smile and waved at me

He walked towards the counter "You work here? Where's Chanyeol?" he knows about me and Channie

"Oh.. Channie's with his parents" I told him

"What an irresponsible husband he is... making his wife work to live by himself" D.O commented

"Oh! Dont think wrong about Channie, I just want to be independent while he's gone" I said and smile

"Why so?" D.O asked "I just want to~"

"Ok then" he said "give me a cappuccino" I nodded and start making his cappuccino 

From the corner of my eyes I could see D.O looking at me but I just ignore it

I brought his cappuccino to his table "You're cappucino" 

"Thanks, so what's new?" D.O asked "Nothing much, we just adopted a kid" [D.O doesn't know anything about after the husband]

"What's his name" he asked "Chanbaek"

"Can I meet him?"

"Sure" I said with a wide smile "I'll be off in half an hour so you can just walk around and comeback then" D.O nodded, he still haven't changed, he still doesnt talk much

I went back to work, I noticed that D.O was still at his seat but I just tried to focus.

~~Half an hour~~

"Your shift is down Baekhyun-ssi" my manager told me and I nodded and bow, "Thank you, hyung I'll see you tomorrow"

I went to change and walked to D.O "Let's go!" I told him and he nod and stood up

We walked together to Chanbaek's school, I saw Chanbaek waiting at the school gate. 

As soon as Chanbaek spot me he ran towards me "Umma!!" he jump on me and I carried him 

"Chanbaek-ah~ I want you to meet Umma and Appa's friend, he's D.O ahjussi"

Chanbaek politely bow and D.O "Annyeong ahjussi, my name is Chanbaek"

"What a polite kid" D.O said and smiled

I nodded and looked at Chanbaek proudly

~~Days past~~

Me and D.O have been hanging out quite often when I'm free and when Chanbaek is at school

We've gotten closer, I managed to not think of Channie for just a while when with D.O

We'd also play with Chanbaek at home

One day, Chanbaek was at school, I had a day off from work I asked D.O to come to watch a movie together as it would be boring to watch alone.

"Let's watch horror!" I said with a bright smile

"Horror? uh.. I'll pass"

"Oh... D.O scared?" I

"Ani..! Fine! We'll watch" D.O gave in and I laughed

The movie was so scary I had to hide behind D.O when I feel something bad was to happen

Then I heard the door knock "YES! Chance for me to escape!" I thought to myself and ran out of the room

I opened the door to see who it was, it was a man wearing a black suit with a tie like someone who was working at an office. 

"A letter for you" he said and gave me an envelope. Why would an office man deliver a letter to me? Maybe its from Channie?? I thought and quickly thank him, eager to see inside

I ran into the room where D.O was "Who was it?" he asked

"I don't know but I think Channie sent a letter" I told

"Oh! really?" 

I opened the letter and pull out what was inside, it felt like a photo and a paper. I pulled out the papers and saw a photo with what seem to be a letter, 2 of them

I read the letter first before the photo

"Baekhyun, its me Chanyeol, I need to say something but I can't so I'll write it all in this letter, I'll be honest to you. My parents arranged a marriage with their friend's daughter, Sooyoung . When I first met her, my heart somehow was racing. I hate to say this to you but I think now I finally realise that I'm straight and we can't be together. My parents wants me to marry her, I think I love her so I can't continue our relationship. My parents doesnt want you to be involve in my life, I ask you to leave the apartment as my mom wants to sell the apartment to save the company. A divorce letter is stapled to the letter so please sign it and leave it at my desk in the apartment. My men will collect it. I'm sorry Baekhyun."

Tears started to fall, this ... this can't be true.. No... i...it can't be.. I shake my head in disbelief 

I pull out the photos and saw Channie... He was standing face to face with a girl, i guess this is sooyoung and on the other... h..he was laying in bed.. his shirt was off , only blanket covered his below and beside him was the same girl from the previous photo! it can't be... they can't... but Channie promised that he'd love only and and no one else. No ... it can't... I dont want to believe this but I've already seen enough proof. I took out another paper that was attached to the letter and it was the divorce letter I look to see that Channie's signature was already on the paper. 

This tore my heart like a paper.. When I finally realise what was happening tears fall all over my face, I was a crying mess. D.O was as shocked as I was, he pull me into a hug and comfort me "D.O... tell me this isnt true.. please.." I said as I cry, I place my hand on my chest. "It hurts" I cried so loudly I wouldn't be surprise if someone were to complain. "Sorry Baekhyun.." D.O replied

I was too sad to look at the letter thoroughly. I loved him.. I love him so much I just couldnt go on without him. It felt like my world has just been destroyed. The pain I felt in my chest was more painful than a gun shot... more pain ful that a knife stab

"Make it stop!" I cried while hitting my chest. D.O held my shoulder and make me look at him "Don't cry" he wiped my tears "Don't let these beautiful tears be wasted on someone like him" I was shocked but my heart still hurts that I just forgotten about what he just said 

"I can't stop! It hurts too much" I leaned my head on D.O's chest while crying. I could hear D.O's heart beat, it was fast and loud.

"Let's pack up, before they kick you out by force" D.O said and I just nodded. I couldn't talk, whenever I talk, I would hiccup

I packed all my things, D.O help to pack Chanbaek's things. My things were slowly starting to get wet from my tears. 

I went to the bed and pick up the divorce letter. I hesistately signed it.. I had no other choice.. Channie is happy, his family is happy. When he's with me he probably wont feel happy.. He couldnt meet his parents, but if he's with her... he.. he loves her.. and at the same time, he can live a happy life, money will be easy for him, he has his parent's support

As long as Channie is happy I'll do anything.

I place the signed divorce letter on Channie's desk. On the side of his desk was a picture of me, Channie and Chanbaek together as a family.. Tears started to fall even more. This is where our family breaks.. I fell on my knees and cried again.. I've been crying for so long

All of a suddenmy body started to ache all around, my legs were unable to hold me anymore, my throat felt like it was being crushed. I couldnt open my eyes any long. I fell on to the ground with a loud thud on my head..Before I could pass out I heard "Baekhyun-ah!"
