T  E A S E R

She sat on the wet rock and focused her gaze to the beautiful ocean, lying in front of her. Sighing, she remembered how her day went by. She couldn’t take it anymore. She had enough with all the scolding. All she ever did were trying her best to win over Mrs. Kim’s heart but everything leaded to no avail.

She was still the ugly duckling, the one everyone would tramp over. Dancing was always her passion. She loved it more than anything. Well, except for her parents but she hadn’t any. Yeah, right. Left at an orphanage, she never learned anything about the two persons who brought her to life.

“I got this.” She cupped her face, the cold air into her lungs and calmed herself down.

The ocean looked peaceful as the sun started to set in. The 18 years old girl would come here every time she felt somber. Just by becoming one with the nature, she would gain strength to make her dream come true again. To be a dancer.

Writing was also her way to express herself. So, each time she sat there, she jotted down her feelings on a piece of paper she always brought, folded it and hid it in the gap between the rocks. Yesterday, she wrote about how stressful she was with life as she kept getting rejected by her dancing teacher, Mrs. Kim.

But, that day, as she decided to read back all of the letters she hid, they were gone. She frantically tried to search for them but found another letter instead. Taking a deep breath, Naeun opened the letter slowly and gasped. It was signed as Mr. Stranger.

 And from that moment she took the letter home, her life took a big turn.
