Chapter 5: The scorching sun

That familiar sweet and soothing scent.

Her name keeps appearing in my thoughts.

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!

The alarm clock rang, startling Solar out of her dream.

Solar reached out and pulled the alarm clock closer, trying to see those blurred numbers on it.

“8…” She yawned cutely rubbing her eyes gently.

“Good morning, sleepyhead.” A low sweet voice was in her ear.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee?

Solar struggled to open her sleepy eyes.

A cup of steaming hot coffee was sitting in front of solar.

“Drink it while it’s hot.” The low, sweet voice faded away.

Solar looked around but that person was nowhere to be seen.

She took a sip of the coffee and felt her heart strangely warmed.

“Good morning, officer solar!” The group of guys made their way into the office.

“Good morning!” Solar let out a big smile.

“Where’s officer moonbyul?” Her eyes wandered around, seemingly searching for moonbyul.

“We met her downstairs. She said that she’s going to retrieve the autopsy report.” Officer Minho answered in his deep voice.
