Promise to a Star

"Junhyung Oppa," I rush to find Junhyung in the middle of the crowd. His eyes are swollen as if he just stopped crying. "That... Sirius... Is he..."
"Seuji," Junhyung stops my words and points his finger to the man who just steps on the stage. "He's going to say something."
I focus myself to hear him; this Sirius has already made me really curious with his secret identity.
His piano skill, his beautiful voice, his smile.
He reminds me of Jaesoon.
When he kissed my forehead before he stepped on the stage, I was sure enough that he is indeed Jaesoon. The warm feeling he gave by the kiss and his loving words, it's only Jaesoon who can give me that special feeling.
Why is his face different?
Why didn't he tell me earlier when I met him on the audition day?
Why...?
"This song is dedicated to someone really special for me. She is the reason I want to shine the brightest in the night like my name, Sirius, so I can always watch over her," his eyes meet mine and I can feel my heart starts to beat faster.
"One night I made a promise to a star, to Sirius," he smiles calmly. "I promise that I will always love this girl, no matter what will happen. Even if my heart will break into pieces. Even if she will forget about me someday. Even if I'm not her everything."
He pulls away from the microphone and puts his fingers on the tunes, starting to play the melodies.

While staring blankly outside

I remember this melodies. Jaesoon sang this once for me before my wedding day. He wrote the lyrics by himself and Hyunseung helped him with the music. He said he had not finished the music yet so he just performed the song until the first refrain.

The song is almost over but my tears haven't stopped yet. He sings the last part of the song beautifully.

He bows to the audience while the crowd is cheering for him, giving him applause for his amazing performance. He leaves the stage quickly to let the MCs take over the show again.
"Go," Junhyung helps me to wipe my tears away. "He is waiting for you."
"Junhyung Oppa...," I look at him with teary eyes. Even though he is smiling, I can see the pain in his eyes. "I'm sorry... I..."
"Yah, no more lies to make another one happy," he scolds me gently. "I'm happy if you're happy. Go, Seuji. Promise me to be happy."
I give him a hug before smile to him and mutter, "Thank you, Oppa."
I rush to the backstage to find Jaesoon but Jiyeon tells me that he doesn't return to the backstage after the performance. A staff saw him walked to the nearby park.
Without saying anything to Jiyeon, I run to the park to find Jaesoon.
I don't care if he changed his face. I don't care what his reason is to appear in front of me without telling me the truth.
I know I'm going to fill the divorce paper after this. I know there's a lot of thing I need to take care after this. I know everything is not going to be easy...
...but this is what I need to do.
There he is. He is standing near the lake with his hands inside his pockets, gazing through the night sky.
"Jaesoon...," I stop my steps and catch my breath.
He turns around with wide eyes but then his lips form into his usual warm smile, "Seuji."
I hug him tight, letting my tears to fall down endlessly.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," I repeat my apologies numerous times to him without releasing my hug. "I'm sorry for everything."
"Stop apologizing," he kisses my hair and pulls away from my hug. He wipes my tears with his thumb gently. "Don't you have another word to say?"
I take a deep breath and smile to him, "Saranghae, Jaesoon Oppa."
Jaesoon caresses my cheek and leans closer to me until our lips meet.
For the first time, he kisses my lips.
"Ah," I see the glimpse of shining star on the sky after we parted the kiss. "I think it's Sirius."
I turn to him, "Did you really make a promise to Sirius?"
"Kind of," he answers calmly. "Why?"
"I'm going to make one now then," I intertwine my fingers together, placing them near my lips.
"Dear shining star,
I promise I will love him with all my heart.
No matter what will happen.
No matter how much time passes.
Because my heart is yours, Jaesoon."
