Lemon Candy

It's Called Being In Love {DISCONTINUED please look @ "About Me" in profile for further info}

On the day of their presentation, rain thumped loudly against the classroom's windows and roof, making the kids rather depressed with such gloomy weather. Honestly, Myungsoo couldn't help but agree with them for once as he lets out a sigh.

"Hey, L, I've never seen you smile before," Sungjong innocently said as he poked Myungsoo's cheek.

Of course, the little sunshine seemed unaffected by the bad weather.

"Just having... a lot of thoughts... I guess you could say..." Myungsoo murmured.

The other kids sort of groaned, feeling like the day would go nowhere if the rain continued.

Myungsoo noticed how Sungjong was momentarily quiet from his response when suddenly he felt a little thump on his head and heard a "clunk" on the table. He looked down and saw a piece of lemon candy.

The boy picked up the candy and stared at it for a while before turning around in his seat. Sungjong was walking around with a bag of lemon candy and dropped one on everyone's head like he did with Myungsoo.

After Sungjong was finished, he returned to Myungsoo's side and smiled, "I practiced a bit on acting, L!"

Everyone paid attention to Sungjong as he got ready.

"When you have many thoughts have some lemon candy!" Sungjong smiled as he held out his lemon candy bag.

Awkward silence filled the room.

"I'm sorry~!" Sungjong said in fake happiness and turned away from everyone and awkwardly walked off.

"Pfft...!"

Everyone blinked, then turned to Myungsoo, who started laughing.

"Why are you so cute?" Myungsoo laughed. Sungjong immediately brightened and ran over to glomp Myungsoo.

The two lifted up the depressing aura with the help of lemon candy.

Myungsoo woke up to the sound of his ringtone. He drowsily gets up and answers the call.

"Myungsoo! Where are you? Didn't we agree to meet up earlier so Sunggyu wouldn't have to wait up on us?"

"Oh..." Myungsoo would have blinked in realization but he was still half-asleep while talking on the phone with Sungjong, "Five more minutes... okay...?"

On the other side of the phone, Sungjong sighed, not wanting Myungsoo to be even more late, then came up with an idea.

"Myungie, I'm all by myself here~... It's scary if you're not here with me~!" Sungjong said with a very pout and aegyo filled voice. Since he was never really good at acting, he made up for it in aegyo.

Then the phone hung up.

"M-Myungsoo?" Sungjong blinked awkwardly, staring at his phone.

Next thing he knew he heard loud and fast footsteps before being glomped by a familiar someone. Due to such a force Sungjong fell to the ground with said familiar someone.

"Don't worry, Jongie! I'm here so don't be scared!" Myungsoo exclaimed while hugging him tighter, his shoulder bag filled with all of his stuff awkwardly squished between them.

Sungjong sighed before hugging Myungsoo back, purely losing care about the people passing by and giving the two strange looks. He's already had ten years to get use to this.

"I swear you guys are trying to just be asked to be called a couple," they heard a scoff from a certain sloth they knew.

"Jongie was just scared by himself, grandpa-gyu," Myungsoo said with a huff as he helped pull Sungjong up onto his feet.

"Watch your mouth when you're with your hyung," Sunggyu said, obviously irritated.

"Where's the company anyway?" Sungjong asked.

Due to Sunggyu having to shout the first place in his mind when he was talking about meet up time, he had to look around the area first.

"Er, you see that tall building over there," Sunggyu pointed to a fairly tall building that stuck out a bit like a sore thumb from a distance.

The two simply nodded.

"Well we need to basically head to the center of town and neither of us has a car and even if we did none of us know how to drive so-"

"We need to call a taxi and we're gonna need a lot of money?" Sungjong finished his sentence.

"Yeah..."

"I regret not bringing my bike," Sungjong murmured.

"How much do we have so far?" Myungsoo asked while bringing out his wallet.

The three did the same and added up all of their money together while still keeping in mind that they still needed some for breakfast and lunch. They estimated that they had 3/4 of it covered.

"Well..." Myungsoo thought for a moment before remembering something, "My phone has some songs on it."

Sungjong and Sunggyu stared at him for moment, then realization had hit Sungjong like a meteor.

"Oh noo no no no, the last time that happened guys started hitting on me," Sungjong immediately disagreed, making Sunggyu more confused. Myungsoo knew that that was only half of the truth as to why he stopped, but easily decided that right now wasn't the best time to discuss about it.

"But I protected you from th-"

"Yeah, and got stuck in detention the day after."

"Um, anyone gonna explain...?" Sunggyu awkwardly came into the conversation.

"I have some K-Pop songs on my phone, plus my phone has a pretty loud speaker," Myungsoo informed quickly while seemingly searching for something in his shoulder bag.

Sunggyu slowly connected the dots, "So Sungjong knows how to dance to K-Pop songs?"

"Yes but-"

"Here!" Myungsoo then took out a bag of half-finished lemon candy, making Sungjong's eyes widen in surprise.

"You're bribing him with lemon candy?" Sunggyu raised an eyebrow.

"M-hm. Sungjong, you'll get three pieces of lemon candy if you dance," Myungsoo said, waving the bag around.

It was extremely visible that Sungjong was having an inner debate with himself but had seem to have given up, groaning in annoyance, "Fine!"

"Besides, I know you have fun dancing to these songs," Myungsoo said while taking out his phone.

"Shut up," Sungjong mumbled in embarrassment as he stretched.

Myungsoo tapped on certain areas on his touch screen and a certain phrase from the beginning of the song made Sunggyu even more confused.

"'Listen boy'? Wait isn't this Gee?" Sunggyu asked.

"Shh, just watch," Myungsoo said with an amused smile.

The two watched as Sungjong brought out his inner diva (cuz I don't know how else to word it ;P) while dancing to Gee, surprising everyone who passed by and Sunggyu himself. After the song finished, some of the audience left, others took pictures with because they recognised Sungjong as the same boy on Twitter, or handed him some money.

"Here's your candy," Myungsoo handed Sungjong the three pieces and patted his head affectionately.

"Yay!" Sungjong said happily and puts the lemon candy into his pocket, "Let's get going!"

"Um...!"

The three turned back to where the audience use to be, but now there were only a couple teenage girls.

"Can you dance to Bubble Pop?" one of the girls asked.

Sunggyu choked on his spit at the request.

"Of course, it's one of his favorite songs to dance to," Myungsoo said while scrolling through his song list.

"H-Hey! We already got enough money!" Sungjong protested, slightly flustered as the girls got excited.

"Music start!"

"Ah fine!"

Myungsoo smiled, seeing how Sungjong couldn't help but smile as he danced with the girls to the song.

Of course, he had to be happy too.

Chapter 32: Finally caught up!!! I am loving this story a lot and appreciate the Hojong but MYUNGJONG wins for me. I hope Myungsoo gets it right, I want my ship to sail.

I know how woohyun and Sungjong felt about unrequited love. (even though myungjong is reciprocated on both ends now.) I still know that God awful feeling and it is the worst thing ever, I hate feeling that way. I still like my crush of 4 years. I want to tell him but I know the outcome, it will always be unrequited.

Chapter 30: Wow this story is the real roller coaster ride i tell you. Really intriguing and good. And myungsoo is an idiot(must say word after reading this) xD
And I'm happy because IT'S HOJONG TOGETHER MY GOD MY OTP. Now i don't know how the ending gonna be. Really hope for hojong to be together till the end but feel pity to both sungjong and myungsoo. God, it's typical cliche ending of the first lovers to get together but then it is the most right feelings for the story. I don't know but i love hojong T.T i hope u can write more and more interactions of hojong (I LOVE THEM PLEASE!!!) and sunggyu needs to know that the girl he had a crush years ago was actually sungjong and sungjong needs to remember hoya again..ARGHH so many things to unravel i will support u throughout the story so fighting!!!!!
