Hamsters and Carnivals Do Not Go Together
It's Called Being In Love {DISCONTINUED please look @ "About Me" in profile for further info}"Yaayyy! Party time!" Dongwoo shouted as they got out of the car before running to the ticket booth like a little kid (the little dinosaur backpack he wore basically screaming that he was a little kid).
"Hey! Wait for everyone else!" Sungjong yelled before chasing after him with Myungsoo naturally following behind him.
"Aisht, really?" Sunggyu sighed as he got out of the car and was left behind with Sungyeol, Woohyun, and Hoya.
"Can't be helped with," Sungyeol nonchalantly shrugged before chasing after the others.
"See ya gramps," Woohyun smirked before leaving too.
"That kid...!" Sunggyu tried his best not to release his hamster-y wrath from a distance as he and Hoya chose to walk instead of sprinting to catch up with the others.
"Just let them be," Hoya patted the older on the back.
Once they paid for the tickets and entered Dongwoo came running back with sparkles in his eyes, "C'mon! We're riding that first!" he points over to an insanely tall roller coaster with everything wild imaginable (and something that will kill a couple of people's stomachs if they were to ride on).
"D-Did you guys agree to th-that?!" Sunggyu was obviously terrified to death as he yelled at the others... to which he recieved an excited 'yes's from all of them and a 'no!' from Myungsoo.
"Come on, it won't be that bad," Hoya sighed.
~10 minutes later~
"I REGRET EVERYTHING." Hoya said before rushing off to the bathroom to obviously barf.
"I-I'm coming with you!" Sungyeol stuttered before limp-running after Hoya. [So the roller coaster has the hype at first, barfing your guts out second, and having the hype again thing :P] Dongwoo then rushed after the two worriedly.
"Let's go into the haunted house next!" Sungjong pointed over to said thing with sparkling eyes to which the leftover three wanted to respond with
F*** NO!
"I don't want to puke my guts out while being terrified at the same time thank you very much!" Sunggyu yelled before slumping onto the bench he was sitting on again.
The maknae pouted at the older before turning to his two childhood friends, making sure to use extra aegyo, "Please~?"
Sure Myungsoo and Woohyun really wanted to glomp the boy and agree without a second thought but they had extremely weak hearts compared to Sungjong.
"I-I'm gonna go buy s-some ginger ale for th-them!" Woohyun quickly made an excuse before running off.
"I-I'll go help!" Myungsoo ran off too before he actually consciously fell for Sungjong's aegyo attack.
Sungjong pouted as he crossed his arms and plopped down onto the bench next to Sunggyu, "You guys are no fun..."
"Well you just have bigger guts than us, okay?" Sunggyu sighed in defeat, trying to adjust himself to find a comfortable position on the bench.
The younger looked at the elder from the corner of his eyes before sighing, "Jeez! You can lay on my shoulder this one time, okay?" making the older almost automatically lay on his shoulder and closing his eyes, simply that his stomach would stop hurting.
What did he want? To simply get get out of the hospital and play outside once again, but he knew that it would never be the same again, seeing how his father struggled with controlling his business and taking a 5 hour drive to visit him at the hospital.
He turned his head to look at the picture frame his father decided to leave behind for him. It was of his previously whole family with his mother and his little sister, Suejong, who was currently stuck in a coma and in the room across from his, but he knew... especially with her nurses and doctor discussing about her right outside of his room.
"She won't survive at this rate-"
"Sir, we'll never know, it's not close to even a week yet!"
"Yes, but as these days are going by her brain shows signs of slowly stopping."
"But we can't tell her older brother! He's thirteen years old, terribly injured, and they have already lost their mother from that car accident!"
"L-Let's take this discussion somewhere else! You're both br-bringing unwanted attention here!"
And he was greeted with shuffling feet and silence. He noticed the door slowly open and saw a girl walk into his room before closing the door quietly, releasing what seemed to be a sigh of relief as she leaned her back against the door.
He simply stared at her before asking, "Um, do I know you...?"
Apparently, he shocked the girl, seeing how her eyes widen and quickly looked at him. He also would never have seen a girl who basically dressed up as a porcelain doll, especially with the victorian-styled dress and the giant bow on her head.
"O-Oh... it's just some random kid," she sighed in relief.
"'Rando-'?! Hey! I'm thirteen! Probably older than you!" he huffed while crossing his bandaged arms.
"Whatever," she rolled her eyes sassily as she mimicked his action.
"What are you doing here anyways?" he asked.
"Long story short stupid second-cousin, some bets, trying to visit my dad, and said idiot stuffed me into this stupid outfit," she waved it off dismissively, "I'm trying to hide from him before he takes my picture or something."
"Your father's here? Why?" he couldn't help but ask.
At the question, she immediately stopped being rude before her expression saddened, "Car accident... coma... you know, it was raining pretty hard a week ago and he's stuck in a coma... I heard from my mom that he injured a family by accident too and killed the mother..."
Obviously, the boy realized about the description and couldn't help but grip his blanket a bit tightly, "That... That was my family..."
She looked up in pure shock, "Oh my...! I am SO sorry!"
"Don't be... It was just raining too suddenly and too much and we were driving at a bad time, plus your father is stuck in the same condition as my little sister so you don't have to apologize," he sighed.
She pouts, "Still..." then perks up at a sudden thought, "How about I keep you company until you heal? That way we're both not lonely."
He couldn't help but smiled a small one for the first time since he got to the hospital, "I wouldn't min-"
The door clicks open, making the girl immediately back away from the door as a nurse entered, "Sunggyu-ah, it's time for your check-up," she then notices the girl, "I'm sorry little miss, but right now visiting time for you oppa is over. You can visit him three days later at the same time."
Before Sunggyu could even ask the girl for her name, she was gently pushed out of the door by the nurse and the door was soon shut.
"Hamster-gyu wake up!"
Sunggyu slowly but surely opened his eyes and sat up properly, sleepily murmuring, "Stop calling me that..."
"I can't keep being your body pillow, besides, Hoya-ssi offered to go walk around the carnival with me, so see ya gramps," Sungjong got up.
"Can't you respect me for once?!" Sunggyu asked in annoyance, fully awake now.
He only recieved an eye roll from the maknae before he went off with Hoya, making him huff in annoyance.
I can't believe I thought that I loved him because he reminded me of her!
To meet and be forgotten is painful... but who feels pain when neither remembers.
