Krystal with an excited heart arrived at the business party her father took her out to. It was the first time she was going to officially meet her father's close acquaintances

After arriving and giving her greetings, being the curious child she was, Krystal snuck away and ventured out to explore the foreign place she was in. The venue she was at was big, secretive and isolated. It was a new experience for her and she couldn't wait to play around somewhere new.

Walking not far from the venue, she spotted a duck-filled river that glistened beautifully under the sunlight. She was immediately attracted and made her way there with her little steps, wanting to have a closer look at the animals that inhabited the area.

Before she could go and have a closer look, she spotted a boy nearby under a tree, curled up crying. Krystal looked at him curiously and decided to keep a distance and watch him from afar. She's hardly ever interacted with anyone her age, and she was too shy to approach him.

'Hmm.. He must be hurt right? Must be very painful to cry like that' little Krystal thought to herself. She quickly ran back to the venue and looked for her dad, wanting to ask for something that she thought would help

"Appa, can I have a band aid please?" Krystal slowly approached and asked with her puppy eyes

"There you are! Are you hurt anywhere?! Show appa! Are you okay princess?! Aish your mum is going to kill me. I shouldn't have let you run off"

"Aniiii, my friend is hurt and needs one" She smiled

Her father chuckled, thinking she was so cute.

"You and your imaginary friends soojung-ah" he said as he passed her the band aid she was seeking for

"Come back later after you're done playing with your 'friend' okay?" he says as he winks at her

Krystal ran quickly back to where the boy was, not wanting to waste a second. On her short legs she ran unstably too fast and tripped over a huge rock, causing her knee to scratch and bleed. Without second thought she ignored the pain and stood up quickly as she continued running, not wanting the boy to wait.

She slowly approached him quietly from behind which gave him a fright. The boy straightened himself up and wiped away his reminiscent tears, and gave her a cold glare.

"What do you want?" he asks coldly

"You must be badly hurt, right? Here's a band aid appa gave me, quickly put it on to stop the pain!" little krystal says as she puts out her hands, offering the boy her band aid with anticipation

The boy looked up at her questioningly and raised a brow

"I'm not hurt though" he says in a nicer tone, knowing she meant no harm.

Krystal then paused for a moment before she unexpectedly embraced him in a tight hug

The boy widened his eyes at her bold actions

"Unnie says it's not good to lie. Omma says hugs make everything better"

He froze, not knowing what to do

Krystal retreated shyly and sat beside him, looking for his signs of injury. In the midst of that her arms accidently swept against her scratched knee, making her yelp quietly.

The boy looked down to her knee and noticed her injury, and swiftly took the band aid before placing it on her knee.

"That's for you though!" Krystal pouted, the boy only shook his head before replying.

"I'm fine. I was just feeling sad"

Krystal never felt sad before, always being pampered by her family, so she didn't know what he was talking about.

"Hm.. Do you need medicine?" she asked

He just laughed softly at her response

"What's your name?" he asks
