When I logged onto tumblr, I thought what I was going to see was mostly screencaps of Dongsoo's drama's latest episode. Don't get me wrong, I did see a bunch of that, but the ratio of those to this other thing was utterly scary.

Earlier this week, INK Media announced that they will be hosting a trainee competition show on MBC called 'The Search For Love'. Today, through an official statement, it was revealed that 4rang member Cherie will be leaving the group to focus on a solo career.

A representative said in an official press release, "Cherie of the girl group 4rang initiated discussions with [INK Media] management about breaking away from the group and having a solo debut. After a long period of discussion, the agreement to let Cherie have her solo career under INK Media was reached and a new contract was signed.

"As for the group, they were included in all of the discussions and the conclusion was reached together. To keep with the image of 4rang, we will be choosing one INK Media trainee to replace Cherie through our new variety program, 'The Search For Love'. Please watch closely."

The singer, who previously finished third on Kpop Star 2 and has been signed with INK Media since, is still close friends with her former group members, as shown in a picture Minni posted on Instagram of the two of them enjoying coffee together with the hashtags "#bestfriend" and "#love", among others.

It's apparently not that Minni and Cherie have been close for years, because Chu took to Twitter to wish her "Cher-Cher-unnie" good luck on her future debut. Previously, both girls had admitted to having the most fights among the group.

Rapper SS Young, known among Lovel2's never to take anything seriously, has garnered attention for changing her LINE display picture to a photo of the four members, only with a heart sticker and question mark on Cherie's face. Netizens are wondering if this is another one of her harmless jokes, promotion for the show, or a hint to discord between former group mates.

Meanwhile, INK Media is still releasing teasers for 'The Search For Love'. Will you watch and pick a favourite to cheer on, or will you stay optimistic about Cherie coming back to 4rang?

She's staying with INK, no lawsuits, no nothing. Even all the members knew about it. It's not as big a deal as you guys are making it out to be. So she wants to go solo, and not just temporarily. She never planned to be in a group at all, remember when she said she was disappointed "until she met her groupmates"? maybe she said that just to not cause controversy, maybe she really was disappointed. Anyway, whatever she does, I'll be supporting her, and I hope all Lovel2s do, too. She promised never to turn her back on fans. Don't turn your back on her. I mean, she knew all about it, and she's literally the chillest member in the history of girl group members, so i doubt its a "hint of discord" or w/e.
