I’m a part timer of part timer. You don’t get it? Well, it simply means I help out at different jobs when the original part timer couldn’t make it for that day. I’m not really sure how I ended up in this working mode, but it probably started out with me helping one friend and then another and another after that … You get the picture, I’m really a helpful person.

Hey, what’s with the doubtful eyes, you don’t believe me? Stop smirking, ok I admit it probably mostly due to me not knowing how to reject my friends’ requests. What! That’s the truth, what do you mean there’s more to it? Ah … yeah … I guess you are right, not just friends, I even accept requests from mere acquaintances and strangers.

But it’s all good right? We should help one another and the world will be a much nicer place, don’t you think so?  I’m so happy you agree with me. Anyway, I actually do like the job scope and the pay isn’t bad. Since it’s always something urgent or last minute emergency, most of the bosses are willing to pay more for me to stand in.

Plus, you know I get bored easily so doing different jobs seems to suit me well. I get to experience different trades and hopefully I will find something that will interest me to make it my livelihood. Hmmm, any other benefits you mean? Well, you get to meet lots of people and … ah … make new friends. What now? No, I’m not blushing… no, I did not stutter at all! Can you stop grinning like a cat that swallowed a big fish!

Oh my … just look at the time … you should really go home. I’m closing the store now. What do you mean I’m terrible at lying? Yes, we are open 24h. Oh … I’m closing it ... ah ... for restocking … yeah … restocking the shelves. So bye, I see you around.

Why do I feel like I have just make a fool of myself in front of the one person I’m trying to impress?
