Unicorns Are Real (Jennie x Jisoo)
Avocado Procrastinates1. In order to even have a chance encounter with these rare magical creatures, one must be as pure of heart and mind as the unicorn itself.
"Remember how we first met? Wasn't it romantic? Like something out of a fairytale - "
"You stumbled out of the woods, vomited all over my roses, and passed out drunk on my lap." Jennie deadpanned. "I had to stop in the middle of my reading to drag your body into my house and on top of that, nurse your hangover when you finally regained consciousness."
"And you did an incredible job! I will forever be indebted to you. No regrets though. It was the very first time we met, and it was love at first sight..." Jisoo rested her chin on the palms of her hands and sighed dreamily, oblivious to her human lover's glare. "It was also the first and last time I'm ever going to drink like that. I'm never going to party with the maenads again."
"I would prefer that you didn't. Weren't you the one who told me that unicorns are supposed to be 'pure and graceful'?"
"As pure and graceful as the person who manages to meet them, so this actually says a lot about your character too." Jisoo retorts with a wink and a toothy smile.
Jennie scowls and shoves a forkful of greens into the unicorn's mouth.
2. Unicorns possess many magical abilities, all of which are derived entirely from their powerful horns.
"Listen, Jennie, I'm a unicorn. A unicorn, okay? And unicorns probably have the best healing powers out of all the magical creatures that have ever existed. I can help you get better right away - "
"Kim Jisoo, you must be losing your mind if you actually think I'm going to let you stab me with your horn so I can instantly recover from the common cold." Jennie narrows her eyes at the six-inch silver horn protruding from the unicorn's head. She was never fond of needles, sharp objects and the like, and Jisoo's horn is of course no exception. (Not to mention the fact that she has a very low pain tolerance as well.)
"It's just the tip. I promise it's just a little nick and it'll only take a second."
When Jisoo takes a step closer toward the human sitting up in the bed, the point of her horn glints ominously in the light and Jennie shrieks. "Keep that thing away from me!" She snatches a pillow beside her and hurls it toward Jisoo's head, where it is immediately speared upon her proud horn.
Past the falling wisps of fluff, Jisoo catches Jennie's cheeks puffing up in repressed laughter.
It's Jisoo's turn to glower.
"I'll give you something to laugh about." The unicorn growls before launching herself at a squealing Jennie and bombarding her with endless tickles.
Jisoo does recall that popular human saying: "Laughter is the best medicine."
3. Unicorns are closely related to horses, so they share many similarities with their non-magical relatives.
"What's wrong?" Jisoo asks when she sees her lover looking up from her phone with a sullen expression.
Jennie sighs and runs her fingers through her light brown hair. "I'm sorry, but I don't think we can go out later. Nayeon needs someone to pick her up from the airport and a place to stay for the night."
The corners of Jisoo's lips curve downward into a slight pout. Jennie would be lying if she said she didn't f
