Your POV:

I was up and early this time, able to catch the bus and talk to friends in the morning. No need in Kevin at all. Which, I don't mind having him take me to school, it's just I hate being a bother. For years he's been nice to me, yet I haven't been able to make it up to him.

The clouds above me were spaced, showing the bright and shining sun. I smiled and knew that today was going to be good, that nothing bad could happen.

And then I bumped into her.

"Watch where you going, freak." She ed, catching my arm before I fell ontop of my books. What should of been a nice gesture, was actually the worse thing that could happen.

Heart dropping and cold sweat building ontop of my skin, I stood straight and looked at her. Her hair was flowing down past her chest and her eyes were covered with eyeliner. I took a quick glance at her nails to see what she did to them this week. They were purple with pink polka-dots. Expected from this kind of girl, all she ever wanted was pink.

Refocusing on her face, I could tell that she was not happy to see me, like she ever was. I should of known she was bad news the day Kevin showed up, but I was blinded.

I spoke through gritted teeth. "How are you today, Amber?" Pulling my arm away, I picked up my books. Catching a glimpse of scratches on her legs, I knew then what she was doing this weekend.

As if we've been friends forever, she used her high pitched voice, "Oh, I've been great! You know Kevin came to my house this weekend." She stopped, knowing that I'd look up at her. When I did, she evily winked, "We had a lot of fun." Sneering, she headed to her class.

Sighing greatly, I finished gathering my books and headed to my own class, which was one level higher than Amber's---the smartest class.

Catching my seat right before the bell, I nodded my head towards Kevin, who, thankfully, sat right next to me. With a smile, he helped my set my books onto my desk and helped sort them out.

I quickly checked his neck to see if there were any marks left from Amber. Thankfully, I didn't see anything, but what hid underneth his clothes could tell another story.

Kevin looked at me, "Hey, you okay? Something happen?" Worry fell into his voice. He quickly took my hand into his, noting that the teacher hadn't entered yet.

Noting that, as well, I shook my head. "No, no. Everything is fine." I lied.

Kevin rolled his eyes. "I know when you're lying, _____. So don't even try. Did you bump into Amber?" His grip became slightly harder.

I couldn't help but feel that that meant something more than it probably did. If he was really over at Amber's house, then Amber for sure left something on him, whether it be a scratch or a hickey, she always left something on a boy that entered her house. Even if it was a nerd.

Shaking my head, yet again, I plastered on a fake smile---which I perfected over the years. "No, I didn't bump into Amber. I'm just a bit tired, that's all." I continued to smile when the teacher finally entered the room, saving me from the rest of the conversation.

Lunchtime hit before I knew it. I was thankful but also at the same time dreading it. I knew that when I entered, I'd see Amber sitting with Kevin. Amber was always nice to me on Mondays, which was today, and always tried her best to sit next to me on these days. And it was only because of Kevin.

As I entered, I didn't see Kevin nor Amber at the usual table. Instead, I saw Amber leading Kevin away from the table and having him sit next to her at her table with her friends. My grip on my bag tightened, but I calmly escorted myself to my usual table, sitting down and planning on eating alone.

Before I knew it, the geek of the school sat down next to me. I didn't care, except for the fact that he only talked to me when I was alone, which slightly freaked me out. But he was always nice, so I repayed him by being just as nice. I have even stood up for him a couple of times.

"Hey _____." He whispered, deciding whether or not if sitting next to me was okay. He's never sat next to me at lunch before.

Nodding my head, I smiled, assuring him that it was okay, and replied, "Hey, Eli."

Eli relaxed a bit and took out his lunch. My nose wrinkled as I caught the smell of it. "What is that?" I asked, with the nicest voice I could.

Eli frowned. "It's my sister's speciallity. She wanted to surprise me by making me something... but I'm afraid that it might move on me." He eyed the food, slightly poking it with his fork.

Laughing a bit, I tore a bit of my sandwich and handed it to him. "Here, it's probably better than that anyday."

Eli looked shocked. "You sure?"

"Yeah!" I placed it into his hand and continued to eat my lunch. Feeling a deep stare on me, I took a quick glance over in the direction of Amber and Kevin. Sure enough, Kevin was staring at me while also giving a death glare to Eli. He looked away once he noticed me looking at him. I couldn't help but smile.

"You like him, don't you?" Eli stated, out of the blue.

Almost choking, I turned to Eli with wide eyes. "W-what? No, no, I don't like Kevin." I wiped my mouth.

"Uhuh, sure..." Eli finished his half of the sandwich. Poking me, he stood up. "That's not what Amber says." He quickly grabbed his stuff and left me.

I stood up just as quickly as Eli left, grabbing my unfinished food and throwing it away. I couldn't stand being in the same room as Amber at this moment.

"Hey! _____!" I heard Kevin yelled behind me. But knowing Amber, she'd already have him forgetting about me and having his entire attention back on her.

I wiped a tear that magically fell from my eye as I walked back into my classroom.
