“So Taeyeon.. tell me about yourself. Can you cook?” he suddenly asked out of the blue

“Eh? I can..” i get flustered a bit with Mr. Hwang random question. But maybe he’s just trying to be friendly with me by trying to find a topic to be discuss.

“Good.. can you drive a car?” he asked again

Now i feel like i’m in an interview.

“Uh.. i can.”

“Good! Can you speak English?”

“I can, but not really fluent.”

“Ah, that’s fine. Now my last question, have you ever learned or even mastered any kind of self-defense? Martial arts? You know, like judo or Thai boxing or karate, etc..”

“Well, i never learn any kind of those, Mr Hwang. But i’m quite good in sport and running.” Even though i got really confused with his acts right now, still i need to pay some respect to this man because he is my dad’s boss. If i act rudely or badly, or even worse, offended him, i might ruin my dad’s life. And that is the last thing i want to do.

“Aww.. too bad. But you’ve fulfilled the other criteria. So i think that’s enough.” He grins cheekily.

“mm.. pardon me, Mr Hwang, i don’t want to be rude or nosy but what do you mean by i have fulfilled the criteria? What criteria? And for what?” i can’t suppressed my curiosity anymore. i look at my dad and trying to ask for help. Maybe he knows what his boss up to right now. He just smiles at me. i think he must know something too.

“well.. Taeyeon, you see, my daughter really need a personal assistant right now. And we haven’t find a suitable one for her. But you, you almost completed all of the criteria that she asked for. She asked for someone who is not too old, but also not too young. But since you in the same age with her, i think the first criteria have been fulfilled. And then, she asked for someone who is good looking, so she won’t feel embarrassed to have this person around her for 24 hours in a day, and also when she meets her friends and stuff, she needs to bring her personal assistant too along with her. And look at you! you’re beautiful and cute. And then she needs someone who can speak English since her Korean is still not as good as her English. She also needs someone who can cook for her because she really can’t cook. Hahaha.. She needs someone who can drive
