“Matt! Crystal! I’m home!” Trinity called while entering their house and taking off her shoes. 

    It’s been a good few months after their parents died and Trinity was able to get the court to allow her to be their guardian. Everyday has been a struggle as Trinity was juggling school, work, and taking care of the kids when she was already so tired. Even so, Trinity kept taking extra shifts at her work but was still falling short to pay the bills. Trinity had enough to pay for a decent amount of food, electricity, and water from her parents’ bank account, but since they were already financially unstable, the bank was wearing thin fast.

    Trinity sat at the kitchen dining table while she rubbed her shoulders. Matt and Crystal ran their way to Trinity with Jiyeon following close behind. 

    “Trinity, guess what? We all made dinner together!” Crystal clapped. “I really like cooking.”

    “That’s great!” Trinity smiled. “What’d you guys make?”

    “Fried chicken and mashed potatoes,” Matt replied with a wide smile as Jiyeon and Crystal placed the food in front of Trinity. 

    “Thanks guys… I really needed this,” Trinity smiled but felt sad as well. “I should’ve made dinner though… I’m sorry I was out until so late.”
