Suho woke up in the morning when Eun came and opened his curtains to let light stream in. He stayed in bed for a bit longer because he felt really lethargic and he wanted to, just for a few moments, forget about the kingdom, Minseok, and Kris. He wanted to forget about anything and everything. and just stare at the seagulls fly in the sky, feel the ocean breeze fill up evey pore in his body and dream of ocean waves washing him away.

He let the breeze carry him back down memory lane.

He had met Kris first when he was representing his kingdom for Minseok's birthday (8th was it?). His brother had been away on official business and he was the only one available. He hadn't given two s about Kris except acknowledging that Kris was a hella goodlooking guy. A feat, according to Suho, rarely accomplished. He had been busy comparing himself to others. He must have cut a lonely figure because Kris was by his side soon after the party started and barely left after.

Suho giggled, remembering how Kris had tried to give him juice but stumbled on his feet and accidentally splashed his good friend, the King of Shawol kingdom, Onew. The princes, Onew's brothers all laughed whole heartedly at Onew while Kris apologetically tried to hurriedly wipe off some excess fluid but managed to somehow break one of the buttons on Onew's shirt. Suho remembered laughing at that, at which Kris seemed to have gotten more flustered so he tried to apologise to Onew again. He thought shouting at Onew that he had broken his button while pulling at the collar of Onew's shirt to allow him to see his mistake would be a good idea. This only caused all the remaining buttons to break. Kris just stared at Onew's torso horrified, an interesting emotion to have while looking at abs so delicious. Jonghyun, the first prince had then stepped in and had proceeded to clasp Kris' face in between his hands and ask him to calm down. Onew goodnaturedly laughed it off. Kris asked his best maid, Rise to step in and help Onew change into something not torn, and preferably without buttons. Onew walked away with Rise, tripping twice on his way. He would have face planted if it weren't for the wings on his back. Unfortunately for all the people who were close by, his huge beautiful wings made other people fall instead and Onew looked about ready to cry at the thought of hurting so many people. But no one cared, they were happier at the thought of being able to touch the Onew's wings.

Kris had disappeared sometime after this mishap, while Suho was busy talking to the youngest prince of Shawol, Taemin. Suho had missed Kris, something unnatural since he didn't really care about anything or anyone. He still decided to seek out Kris but couldn't find him anywhere in the party. Suho ventured out into the garden, up to a path that seemed to go through some shruberries. Suho didn't stop for some reason; he felt a strange pull towards that direction. Suho finally came out to a cove, and there stood Kris looking out to the moon. The moon looked back at Kris, illuminating him like he was under the spotlight. Kris didn't look lonely, he looked peaceful. The child of moon, Kris, was beautiful in all ways, especially when he sensed Suho standing some distance behind him, staring unblinkingly and smiled at him. Suho's heart stopped, his world stopped. He was being looked at, the child of the moon was focused on him, giving him his own spotlight, sharing some of his father's brightness with Su
