Chapter 4
Breaking Her LabyrinthBack in Kwang’s office, Kris is standing just a step behind Jae Rim. The two young men stood quietly facing the older man who was reviewing his profile. Finally Kwang spoke, "My youngest son can be quite active, would that be alright?"
"Y-yeah of course." Kris bows a little to shake off his nervousness. Kwang smile and turn his attention to Jae Rim,
"Lay is doing well?" he asks, Jae Rim never held eye contact with Kwang, according to what Kris saw.
"Yes." was all the taller and older man said before he left Kris and Kwang.
Tao and Taehee were enjoying their own smoothies; hers was black cherry flavor and his, vanilla. Hooking arms they slowly walk side-by-side. “Tao-baba, what do you want to become in the future?” Taehee asks sipping her smoothies with her red straw. Tao thought for a brief moment,
“Taehee noona…” he exhaustedly let out.
“Huh?”
“Is Lay…Hyung treating you any better?”
Taehee’s smile fade and she shook her head with her lips tightly shut. “It’s okay; he’s busy, I should be understanding of him and help him.” Tao was upset at the comment, it has a one-sided love for so long, and he wishes she would give up soon. Then his phone ring from his left pocket, he unhook arms with Taehee while she places both hands on her smoothies and drink quietly, while he takes the call.
“Oh?”
“Tao, come to the office. Your manager is waiting.” He heard his father voice on the other line; a smile crept up his face then stops halfway and retreated while making eye contact with Taehee.
“Can you have him come back tomorrow….I’m kind of busy right now.” He lies. Kwang expresses that he understood and had hang up first. Tao smile lightly, to hide his excitement, at Taehee and she return the smile.
Kris was sitting in the chair adjacent to Kwang’s desk. Kwang hangs up his office phone and turn over to Kris who was now more comfortable. He clears his throat in order to get Kris’s at
