It's Complicated.Narrator's POV
"-are you sick?" Tara asked as Chaerin laid down on her living room couch
Chaerin sighed "I don't think so, I'm just really moody"
"are you on it?" Angela asked
"maybe? I think so" she shrugged
"yeah you are, I started mine today. We have the same week remember?" Jasmine said
Chaerin tilted her head "we do? You never told me that"
"I just noticed I guess" Jasmine shrugged and opened her backpack "here's a stick"
"put it in quick, you might stain the couch, Cher" Angela said pulling her up. Sluggishly, Chaerin walked to one of the first floor bathrooms and put in the tampon. She exited the bathroom afterwards
"thanks Jas" she said returning to the couch
"we'll go get you two something to feel better" Tara said bringing Angela along to the kitchen
"you guys are the best friends ever" Chaerin gave a smile
Jasmine flipped her hair "of course we are. You'll never find another 3 like us"
Chaerin chuckled and went into her bag for her phone, finally turning it on ""
"something happen?" Jasmine asked sitting at her foot
"my phone's completely blown up" she said showing her
"I have no idea what the that says" Jasmine chuckled "but holy crap, 40 text messages. Isn't our little Cherry popular?"
"please. Half of them are part of a group chat" Chaerin said scrolling through the irrelevant messages of her croup chat with the crew then noticed the remaining half were from either Daeyong or Jungho
"who's texting you?" Jasmine asked
Chaerin read through Daeyong's messages first
"annyeong Chaerin-ah~"
"mwohae?"
"yaaaaah~~ answer me oh?"
"Chaerin tuan~"
"Chaerin-ah~~"
"Chaerinnie~"
"cha?"
"heokshi, eodi apa?"
"heol"
"mianhe, I'll stop now"
Afterwards, she checked Jungho's
"hey, did you arrive safely?"
"I got bored after we ended te call keke"
"your phone's probably not on"
"hope you made it to California safely Chaerin-ah"
"Yurin says hi by the way and she misses you"
"umma and appa said to stop by when you come back, they'll treat us out to a dinner"
"and uh...when you come back...wanna go on a date?"
"man it'd be really awkward if you say no...now I'm shy eotteokhae"
"mian, I'm usually not like this"
"I'm gonna stop now keke. Text me when you get this Chaerin-ah~"
As if on instinct, Chaerin sent him a reply, grinning as she did so
"why are you smiling?" Jasmine asked curiously
"what? oh nothing. It's just J" Chaerin said. Jasmine showed a motherly smile "what?"
"there's something about this guy that makes me like him for you" she crossed her arms
"you haven't even met him and he doesn't even know your existence" Chaerin said
"it has nothing to do with us actually knowing each other, it's just the way you're acting" Jasmine said
"what do you mean?" Chaerin asked
"Cherry, you really like this guy don't you?" Jasmine asked
"I already told you and the girls Jas, I do like J. But I also like D, but right now I like J more than D" she explained "it's complicated okay?"
"hon, there's just something that's stronger between you and J. I know it" Jasmine said
"I appreciate your input Jas, but I also have to think of my cousin's opinion and right now he's 100% team D" Chaerin sighed "I almost forgot that me and hiim are in a huge fight right now"
"but you and J are just so compatible" Jasmine said
"I don't know. I can't be sure about dating him until I know that my feelings won't falter around D" Chaerin said
"then don't make it falter" Jasmine shrugged
Chaerin rolled her eyes "you make it sound like the easiest thing in the world"
"okay we finished making some hot chocolate to help with your girls' stomachs. Here's the advil. And in case you're hungry, Tara made some of her special pasta courtesy from Cher's pantry" Angela said handing two mugs and pills to the girls
"thanks for looking through my pantry without my permission" Chaerin joked
"hey your house is like my 3rd home" Angela said "you know, after Tara's since I basically live 3 houses away"
"yeah" Jasmine said
"hot noodles coming through" Tara said bringing the pan and 4 pairs of chopsticks into the living room
"are your parents alright with eating here?" Angela asked
"um, let's go to my room instead" Chaerin stood up leading them into her bedroom. They finished the noodles within 10 minutes and returned to their usual gossiping.
"ditch that D guy puh-lease" Tara said
"it's not that easy Tara" Chaerin sighed "haven't I already told-hold on. My phone's ringing"
"who is it?" Jasmine asked
"hello?" Chaerin answered
"Chaerin-ah" Jungho's voice rung through her ears. The girl immediately shyed
"J-Jungho?" she asked "h-hey"
"why are you stuttering?" he chuckled "what are you doing?"
"I'm with my friends" Chaerin said and looked at the 3 girls who were trying to decipher her phone conversation
"hey um, so I talked to Jooyoung earlier" he said awkwardly
"you did?" she said her face suddenly hardening "how'd it go?"
"he sorta punched me" Jungho said
"he did not, I will-"
"don't do anything" Jungho said calmly "I'm okay"
"but Jungho-ya, he-"
"Chaerin, just leave it alone. He's still fuming" Jungho said
"and so am I" she retorted
"are you okay?" he asked changing the subject "how's your brother? how'd the flight go?"
"the flight was fine. My brother? opposite, really" she answered
"-oppa! You promised to take me out for some ice cream!" Yurin screamed
"arasso arasso! I'm coming!" he shouted back "mianhe Chaerin-ah"
"it's fine, tell Yurin and your parents that I say hi" she said
"I will, I'll call you later" Jungho said before hanging up.
"that call was...fast" Angela said
"you guys have no idea what I just said, do you?" Chaerin chuckled
"not at all" Tara shook her head "what did you guys talk about?"
"just like, casual stuff you know?" she said
"Cher, you seem so out of it" Jasmine said worriedly
"I don't know if it's just my brother or my period, but yeah" she said
"you know what you need, Cher?" Angela asked "a beach party"
"yes! I got this new bikini and it's ready to hit the sand" Tara said
"are you kidding me? a beach party? I'm on my period-"
"tampons!" Angela interrupted. Chaerin rolled her eyes and held out her hand. Jasmine giggles and put a stick in her hand.
"it won't be so bad, our s love water" Jasmine said "let's go to the beach girls"

"ugh I don't want to be here" Chaerin complained
"oh please, that's your period mood talking" Tara said "oh, there's my call. I'll hit you guys up in like...half an hour"
"that hoe" Angela chuckled "when you were gone, she got herself a boyfriend. Apparently he's the life guard"
"J's a life guard" Chaerin said randomly
"you know, life guards are absolutely hot" Jasmine said spraying on sunscreen before putting on shades "oh I love the Cali sun"
"so do I" Angela agreed taking off her swimsuit cover. "c'mon Cher, let's go swim"
"hold on, my phone's ringing" Chaerin said
"here we go again" Angela rolled her eyes
"hello?" Chaerin answered
"Chaerin! eodiya?!" Mark shouted alarmingly into the phone
"appa? wae I'm at the beach with the girls" Chaerin said "is something wrong appa?"
"your brother ran away. He jumped out of the window-"
"is he crazy?!" she shouted disrupting him
"he took some steroids before so I don't know what's motivating him, but he took your jet to Korea" Mark said
"oppa's going to see his dad, isn't he?" Chaerin whispered
"come home right now, we're taking the emergency jet" Mark said
"deh appa" she nodded hanging up
"something wrong?" Jasmine asked
"my brother's an idiot" Chaerin answered "he's on his way to Korea right now"
"you're joking" Angela said
"I wish I was, I'm sorry girls but I gotta go" Chaerin said as she began running.

Subin was holding Luke in her arms, trying not to cry. Mark was trying to calm Nathan down, talking him through whatever was happening. Chaerin, on the other hand, had been contacting GOT7, giving them a heads up
"I'm not questioning you guys, but did we have to bring Luke and Nathan? maybe it was best that they stayed back home" Chaerin said
"what? no! noona I wanna go see hyung too" Nathan said
"we'll be landing soon, Mr. and Mrs. Tuan"
"dear, when we land, I want you to go straight to the hotel room, take these two with you" Subin said "we'll go find your brother"
"no, umma. You can't appeal to oppa and you know that too" she said
"you're right, but I can at least stop him from getting hurt by that monster" Subin said
"listen to your mother Chaerin-ah, please" Mark sighed. Chaerin shut and crossed her arms with a slight annoyance.
"we're here" the pilot said before lowering the jet.
