Chaerin raced back to K-T and rushed up to her floor where she found GOT7 walking to the door.
"samchun. Did you just arrive?" she asked
"mm" JB nodded "ni appa told us about Jason"
"do you know?" Chaerin asked
"of course we know" Bambam said "we helped noona raise your brother...you know after 4 years old"
"how come you never told us? or at least oppa?" she asked
"come in" Jr said "we'll let your parents tell you"
She unlocked the hotel room and ran inside, throwing her bag on the couch before turning to the pad on the wall and pressing a few buttons. In an instant, a hollagram of her parents came on, she noticed Luke in the background on Nathan's lap.
"umma...appa.." she said "wh-what's happening?"
"sit down, Chaerin" Subin said "this could be complicated"
"oppa-neun? where's oppa?" she asked
"Jason's in his room, he refuses to come out" Mark said
"is he mad at you, hyung?" Yugyeom asked
"not really, mad. Just confused and betrayed I would think" Mark said
"of course he would. I would feel the same way too if-"
"Chaerin" Jackson said
"chesunghaeyo" she muttered sitting down on the couch.
"uri ttal, do you remember umma's love story?" Subin asked and the young girl nodded "well when your halmeoni and halbae arranged the marriage for me, my marriage partner was Jason's real dad"

"I did not" Subin said cutting her off. Mark grabbed her hand
"Chaerin-ah, this is a sensitive topic for your umma so please listen and don't interrupt her" Mark said
"ttal, your umma was by Jason's real dad" Subin said and the girl gasped "Jason was conceived the first time and he wanted to try again if it wasn't for your appa. I will not tell you his name because I find this information irrelevant to you. I don't want you to go looking for him Chaerin Tuan, even for the sake of your oppa if he asks for your help, he is a dangerous man.
"He became mental, when I returned to Korea with your appa, he wanted to kill me. Instead, your appa got stabbed" Subin said "my parents sent him to jail and when he got released, he was put into a rehab center. Right now, he's in a mental facility somewhere in Korea"
"can I talk to oppa?" Chaerin asked "please?"
"if he wants to talk to you. If not, it can't be helped" Mark said and walked away. Chaerin turned to GOT7
"gwenchana?" Youngjae asked putting a hand on her shoulder
"a little much to take it...but yeah" she nodded
"Chaerin-ah, you know that your parents kept that a secret for good reason" Jackson said "they didn't do it just to be cynical"
"arayo samchun" Chaerin said "I just hope that oppa knows that too"
"Chae" Jason's hollagram said quietly. The girl turned around surprised and looked back to GOT7
"samchun-deul...do you mind leaving us alone?" she asked
"sure. We'll be out by the trampoline" JB nodded leading the boys out. Chaerin looked at Jason, who's eyes were completely bloodshot and puffy
"oppa...have you been crying?" Chaerin asked
"there's nothing wrong with that" he answered "why'd you wanna talk?"
"I wanted to see how you were doing" she said "and I missed you"
"I missed you too Chae" Jason said. The girl didn't know how it happened, but she just burst out bawling at the sight of her brother "y-yah, why are you crying?"
"don't hate umma and appa" she sniffled "jebal-yo oppa, they wanted to protect you, not hurt you"
"Ch-Chae" he said "I-"
"even if appa isn't your biological dad, he still loved you like his own son, oppa. Y-You know that too. Umma even told me that she named you Jason because appa wanted to name his son that. Appa took care of you better than your real father could have. Please don't be mad oppa, please" she sobbed
"Chae calm down, you get crazy when you mix up your languages." Jason said and took a breath "I know that appa loves me even if I'm not his real son. I know that they did it for my own good, for all of our own goods, and I can't help but somewhat hate my real dad when umma told me what he did to her and to appa...but"
"but?" she asked
"there is a part of me that at least wants to see him once" Jason said "he is my real dad after all, and I should deserve to look at his face once and meet him"
"b-but oppa...umma said that he was crazy that he's in a mental facility" Chaerin said "what if he hurts you? what if you just get disappointed? umma said he's a dangerous man, oppa"
"but he's still my real dad Chae. If you were me, you would want to see him too" Jason said a bit coldly
"oppa.." she muttered
"sorry" he mumbled "how...how is Korea? appa told me that they sent Daniel there. And that you have a boyfriend, what the ?"
"we're not really together" Chaerin explained "it's just a deal we made. But don't tell umma and appa that. Sibling code, bro"
"and school?" he asked
"it's going good. I still don't know what to choose for careers. Being an idol sounds great and I love singing and dancing, but I find that the structure of an eye and all that doctoral stuff about it is really intriguing" Chaerin babbled
"you seem to really like it, and you made good friends?" Jason asked
"deh oppa, they're great. But I miss the girls back home" she said
"they miss you too, sis" Jason said "well it's good to know that you're having fun. I need to go"
"wait oppa!" she shouted "I-I miss you oppa, saranghae"
"nado saranghae, Chae" he gave a small smile "I'm taking care of Nathan and Luke, don't worry"

"you too, do good, love you" Jason said ending the connection. Chaerin heaved a breath and walked out to the balcony where she saw her uncles jumping on the trampoline
"how was it?" Bambam asked hopping off
"good" Chaerin said "oppa's handling it better than I thought"
"well that's good" Jr nodded
"gwenchana Chaerin-ah? you look upset" Yugyeom said
"I just miss them, samchun" she muttered
"look at the bright side, your dad's coming back here pretty soon" Youngjae said
"yeah, if you call 2 months, soon" Jackson scoffed
"I wish I was there right now with oppa" Chaerin said
"your parents are cool you know? You can talk to them about anything and they won't be so judgemental" JB said
"I miss them" she said "a lot"

"Joojoo, it's personal. off" she said tossing him a piece of popcorn, which he caught in his mouth
"it's hot" Taehyun said "let's go to the pool guys!"
"we have a pool here" Mei said
"ani, like the actual pool at a park place or something" he said "go out for a change, c'mon"
"I'm down" Chanmi and Jaeyeol said at the same time
"sure" Jooyoung shrugged
"I don't have a suit though" Mei said
"I can give you guys some" Chaerin said
"you have trunks?" Jaeyeol asked
"Joojoo leaves a few pairs" Chaerin said
"then...let's go to the pool!" Taehyun shouted

The 6 of them took the bus and went to the regular pool spot on their area.

"never mind, never mind" Chaerin said pushing him ahead "do we have to pay?"
"nah, not if you're in our school anyway" Jooyoung said and the two genders split up to go into their respectable locker rooms.
"it feels really nice to go out for a change. 2 months into the school year and we're basically indoor-bound" Chanmi said
"plus it's a beautiful day" Mei said
"I actually haven't swam in like a public pool in the longest time" Chaerin said "3 years? 4?"
"chincha? we usually go here a lot during the summer" Chanmi said
"sweet, it seems like a chill place" Chaerin said and they exited the locker room. The 6 met up again and gathered by some unoccuppied chairs.
"you lost your abs" Chanmi said patting her twin's stomach "fattie"
"oh yeah? since when did you get that belly-button piercing?" Jaeyeol remarked "didn't umma and appa say you couldn't get one?"
"" Chanmi muttered "yah! since when did you get that tattoo?"
"I'm telling umma/appa" they both said at the same time, glaring at the latter
"twins" Taehyun rolled his eyes
"sibling code?" the two said and agreed
"that was creepy" Chaerin said
"you get used to it" Jooyoung waved his hand
"I'm going in first" Chaerin beamed taking a running start before jumping in the pool
"yah! Rinnie-ya! You can't do that-and she's in" Jooyoung said "aish"
"so they do that even in public places in America?" Mei asked "interesting"
The rest of them followed before getting into the pool and swimming towards her.
"it's cold" Chaerin shivered
"I know" Chanmi said "but it feels nice"
"okay, who kicked me?" Taehyun whined and looked around "yah Park Jooyoung!"
"you're it!" he giggled splashing Taehyun before moving away
"you little-come back here!" Taehyun shouted splashing water towards his direction, getting Jaeyeol's hair wet in the process
"yah Byun Taehyun! You got my hair wet!" Jaeyeol growled splashing Taehyun back. The 3 girls backed away towards the ledge, amused by the boys' water fight.
"boys" Chanmi rolled her eyes
"they're idiots" Mei finished
"why am I related to him?" Chanmi whined
"man I wanna instagram this" Chaerin said
Suddenly, a whistle blew "no splashing"
The 6 of them looked up to see Jungho in red swim trunks, red snapback on his head, whistle by the side of his mouth, sunscreen on his nose, and shades covering his eyes.
"oh " Chaerin muttered
"what are you doing here?" Jooyoung glared
"it's called I'm working" Jungho said from the life-guard chair
"you're the life guard?" Taehyun said
"yeah now follow the rules or I'm gonna have to kick you out" Jungho said "and what kind of boyfriend would I be if I did that to my girlfriend?"
"you sicken me" Jooyoung rolled his eyes
"that little " Chaerin said quietly
"but he's hot" Mei awed "look at his abs"
"I understood abs" Chanmi said
"hey when the school finds out that you're not actually dating, can I date him?" Mei asked
"hey I called him" Chanmi whined
"I don't care if you guys date him or not, I don't even like him" Chaerin rolled her eyes and swam over to Jooyoung "yah Joojoo-ya, stop glaring. Your eyes will burn and frankly he's not worth glaring at"
"he's going to ruin my mood" Jooyoung grumbled
"don't let him ruin it then" Chaerin shrugged splashing water at him
"you're going to get us in trouble" he sighed
"ooh I'm so afraid of Jungho" Chaerin mocked "#rebel. Don't be such a wuss Joojoo"

After about an hour of swimming, the 6 decided to rest for a bit. They were having a nice banter when Jungho walked up to them
"what do you want?" Jaeyeol sighed
"I wanted to talk to Chaerin" he said
"then talk" she shrugged
"it's sorta private" Jungho coughed. Chaerin groaned and stood up, following Jungho somewhere away from the chairs
"what" Chaerin said blankly
"tomorrow's Yurin's birthday and my umma wanted me to invite you" he said "and umma also wants to talk to you about something about an appointment"
"chincha? eonjae?" Chaerin smiled
"next week" he said "what appointment?"
"nothing you need to worry about" she said coldly "I'll be at Yurin's birthday, now can I go?"
"yeah, whatever" Jungho said and smirked "oh and by the way, you look cute in your bikini"

"bwoh? how? I can't even compliment my girlfriend?" he asked
"why are you pushing this girlfriend thing so much? we're not even dating" she put a hand on her hip
"it's funny to see you being so annoyed" Jungho chuckled
"it's great to know that I'm entertainment to you" she scoffed "well I'm gonna go to my friends now"
