Narrator's POV

"-deh seonsaengnim. I'll only be gone a few days" Chaerin said as she spoke through the phone "everything will be on the courses online? deh arasso. Kamsahamnida. Well, that made things a whole lot easier"

The girl called her mother and discussed her flight back to Cali that is arranged to be at midnight, that day. She only had about 3 hours left until boarding the jet, which would land on the roof of the hotel. Assuming that GOT7 would have some sort of knowledge on this, she didn't want to bother the rest of her group expecting that they would be in the middle of something, and considering that neither she nor Jooyoung wanted to speak to each other, she called Jungho

"yeobosayo?" he answered "Chaerin-ah? why are you calling?"

"truthfully, I didn't know who else to call" she said "but in case you're wondering where I am Monday, I'll be back in Cali"

"Cali? wae? are you moving back?" Jungho asked confused

"ani, it's just a family thing" Chaerin said

"oh...arasso" he said "be safe then"

"thanks" she said

"will you be gone the whole week? I don't want to dance with someone new in class" Jungho whined

"the longest I'll be gone is until Wednesday, if you want to convince saem to do something about you working alone until I come back" she said

He chuckled "I probably will. How's it going talking with Jooyoung"

At the mention of his name, her mood went down "uh not well"

"what happened?" he asked. Chaerin just sighed and relayed to him what happened previously. She noticed that right after she mentioned Daeyong, his tone became hostile "did you like his song?"

"Daeyong's?" she asked oblivious "yeah I did, just the fact that he wrote it was impressive"

"I could do something better" he muttered "I bet I could sing better too"

"You know, I actually have never heard you sing" Chaerin said

"I haven't heard you sing either" he said

"you sing first" Chaerin said

"ani, you do it" Jungho ushered. With much convincing, she gave in and decided to sing. It was short and sweet to the point.

Jungho was expecting her to sing a softer song, but was pleasantly surprised with her upbeat sample. Just with that portion of the song, he knew that her vocal range was incredible.

"wahh" he clapped his hands "impressive"

"your turn" she said quickly "show me what you got"

This time it was Chaerin's turn to be pleasently surprised with his choice of song. Of course, she expected him to sing a Korean song, but when she heard the English - the rather good English at that - she was blown away.

"oh my God. You were-wow" she said awed

"you liked it?" he asked

"jamkamman, why'd you choose that song?" Chaerin said curiously

"no reason" Jungho said a bit shaky "I just...you know like that song?"

"then why don't you seem sure?" she laughed. Without even knowing it, the two of them were conversing for 3 hours straight. Chaerin just got a text saying that the jet landed "aigoo, yah Jungho-ya I gotta go"

"leaving already?" Jungho asked

"it's midnight, the jet's here" Chaerin said

"it's midnight?" he asked confused "woah have we been talking for 3 hours straight?"

"I guess so" she smiled "I seriously need to go though, I'll text you later"

"have a safe flight" he said before hanging up. Chaerin grinned and grabbed a small backpack with her things before taking an elevator to the roof.

"Miss Cherry" an attendant bowed. She bowed her head in return and boarded the jet

"how long will it take to get back to LA?" she asked

"since it is an urgent matter, Mrs. Tuan ordered that we use hyper speed. Approximately 6 hours, I assume?" he said

"cutting the time in half, impressive" she commented

"please buckle your seatbelt miss, we will takeoff momentarily" the attendant said. Chaerin nodded and sat down on a cushioned seat, buckling herself in before turning her phone off. She grabbed her iPad and connected to the jet's wifi. She sent a quick kakao message to Mei and Chanmi before the attendant came back and warned her about the electronics. "would you like anything to eat or drink miss? Did you have dinner?"

"I actually didn't" she said "anything's fine, really"

"we have a menu here for you" he said handing her a menu

"uh just chicken and rice is cool. I'll have some bubble tea for a drink if you have it" Chaerin said not even giving a glance to the exsquisite menu. The attendant nodded before leaving the area.

"Miss Cherry, we have arrived" the attendant said giving her a slight shake. She stirred, yawned, and blinked her eyes open, half-awake "Miss, we are now in California"

Chaerin nodded and rubbed her eyes, exiting the jet swaggering to the side with her sleep side effects.

"hey hoe, are you high?" a girl's voice said making Chaerin look up. She squinted her eyes realizing that it was her one and only best friends

"hey guys" she yawned waving at them

"in all honestly, you haven't seen us for a few months and you act like we just saw each other a few hours ago" Angela chuckled

"excuse me, I just woke up" Chaerin said

"it's 2 pm" Tara said

"it's jetlag" Chaerin responded

"well you better wake up, we're going to the hospital" Jasmine said

"hospital?" Chaerin asked. That one word alerted her

"your parents took Jason to the hospital" Tara said a bit cautiously "seems like your brother really is weak to alcohol"

"c'mon Cherry, the taxi's waiting" Angela said and the 4 of them ran. Chaerin was restless during the drive to the hospital and the three did their best to divert her attention. As soon as they arrived, Chaerin raced out of the taxi

"Cherry wait!" Tara shouted "ugh Jas, go follow her"

"got it" Jasmine said also running out. "Cher! Slow down! You don't even know where he's at!"

"then show me" Chaerin said urgently. Jasmine nodded and pointed to the elevator. The two of them boarded first and headed to the 21st floor. Jason's room wasn't easy to miss considering that Chaerin spotted her family members waiting outside a room

"noona!" Luke bubbled running to the girl. Chaerin knelt down and picked him up, crushing him in a hug

"noona missed you Lu" she said gently pressing a kiss to his forehead

"I missed you too noona" he smiled locking his arms around her neck. She walked towards the rest of her family members, Jasmine trailing behind her

"thank you Jasmine for bringing Cherry here" Mark said. Jasmine gave him a smile and looked back to the elevator where Tara and Angela appeared from. Noticing the sudden mood change, Jasmine guessed that they would want some family time alone

"we'll be downstairs at the cafe. Cher just text me if you need us" Jasmine said dragging Tara and Angela back to the main floor of the hospital.

"umma how is he?" Chaerin asked desperately

"your oppa got alcohol poisoning" Subin said as she nervously rubbed her arms

"you don't seem mad, umma" she said

"your mom's not mad. Neither are the rest of us. We just want him to be okay, Chaerin" Mark said

"deh appa" Chaerin nodded. She looked towards her grandparents

"he'll be alright sweetie. He'll be alright" Mama Tuan said

"how are you sure?" Chaerin responded

"we just know" Papa Tuan said her hair "now that you're here, he'll be fine"

"I hope it's true nainai" she sighed. Chaerin sat beside Nathan who held her hand. She noticed that his eyes were wet with tears

"waegurae Nae-ah?" she asked

"I don't want hyung to die" he said quietly

"Jason hyung? Isn't he sleeping?" Luke said innocently. Chaerin sweetly smiled at him and fixed his hair

"Jason oppa's just sleeping. You're right" Chaerin answered and whispered to Nathan "your hyung's not going to die. He'll be okay"

"how do you know?" Nathan asked

"yeye and nainai said so. And I believe them" she said "we just need to pray"

"how is Korea?" Mark asked trying to change the subject a bit

"how's the boyfriend?" Papa Tuan asked. Chaerin cracked a smile

"I really like living in Korea appa. And he's okay" she answered

"he's treating you right noona?" Nathan asked

"mhm" she nodded "he has"

"what's his name again, dear?" Subin asked

"Jungho" Chaerin said with no hesitation "Jeon Jungho"

"do you have a picture?" Mama Tuan asked. Chaerin nodded and showed them a picture on her phone

"wah, he really takes after Jungkook" Subin commented "they really look alike"

"that means he has good genes then" Mark said "Jungkook is a nice guy, have you met him?"

"Jungkook ahjussi? oh appa" she nodded "he's really nice to me"

"well that's good" Subin said "he's a handsome boy, you two look good together"

"have you seen Daniel?" Mark asked

"appa.." she started off "I have seen him but...Daniel's just not a good guy"

"what do you mean?" Subin asked

"umma, he and his brothers bully Nathan about his blindness" Chaerin answered

"who? Daniel? I knew it!" Papa Tuan shouted "I never liked that bastard the moment I met him"

"dad! you're too old to be cursing" Mark said

"who are you to tell me what to do? Just pay attention to your kids" he retorted

"is there anything else?" Subin asked

"he also likes to pick fights with Jungho. I just don't like him umma, please understand me" she pleaded

"it's okay" she said "we won't mention him to you anymore. Right yeobo?"

"what? yeah" Mark nodded

"appa, baegopa" Luke said as he started bouncing on Chaerin's lap

"baegopa?" Mark asked and he nodded

"nado appa" Nathan spoke up

"mama, papa, do you mind bringing Nathan and Luke downstairs to have some food?" Subin asked

"not at all" Mama Tuan said picking Luke up "c'mon, we'll buy whatever you want"

The 4 of them left, leaving Chaerin with her parents

"any career decisions?" Subin asked her

"to be honest, I'm more on the side of being an idol. I really really like it umma, chincha. It's so much fun" Chaerin said "you'll be okay with that right?"

"whatever makes you happy uri ttal" Mark said kindly. She smiled at them

"family of Jason Tuan" a doctor said walking out of the room "he is conscious, you may come in"

"thank you" Mark said "Chaerin-ah, why don't you go in there alone and have a talk with your brother"

"go ahead dear" Subin said giving her a little push.

Chaerin slowly walked into the hospital room to see her brother staring up at the ceiling. She noticed that his face was pale.

"oppa" she dared to speak. He turned to look at her, his face showing no expression

"you're here sis" he said quietly

"oppa, how much beer did you drink?" Chaerin asked

"two 6-packs" Jason answered

"bwoh?! Are you crazy?!...to do that without me?" she asked changing her tone from harsh to somewhat gentle

"nice try" he said "you're still underage smart one, like you'd drink"

"but you don't drink either, oppa you hate alcohol. Why drink it now?" she asked sitting down at his bedside

"it was the only thing I could do. It made me feel better" Jason answered

"oppa, it made you sick. You got alcohol poisoning" Chaerin said "your body can't handle that much alcohol again"

"what do you expect me to do? wanting to see my real dad is eating me alive" he said "only drinking helped me"

"didn't umma and appa tell you that your real dad is a terrible person?" Chaerin asked

"surely he wouldn't be terrible to me, right? he's my dad. He won't hurt me, right?" Jason asked desperately "right? sis tell me I'm right"

"I don't know the answer to that oppa, mianhe" she whispered

"you're just like the rest of them then" he said

"oppa listen to me" Chaerin said kneeling. She took his hand only for him to recede "oppa"

"naka" Jason said

"jebal oppa stop drinking. You left Nathan and Luke at the house alone at 3 am. That can't happen again oppa. At least not when umma and appa are away. I know you want to see your real dad, I know you do. But what our parents said about your real dad being a terrible person, I will take their word for it. They said he's dangerous. I believe it. Oppa please get over this and realize that we still love you and we will treat you better than your real dad can" Chaerin said

"get out Chaerin. I'm getting a headache" Jason said

"but oppa-"

"I said get out!" he shouted. She silenced, Jason never yelled at her, not once. He may have scolded her, but he's never yelled at her before. Without another word, she her heels and exited the room. She looked at her parents and they knew it didn't go well.

"Chaerin-ah" Mark said putting a hand on her shoulder "you okay?"

She shook her head and bit her lip "umma, appa, is it okay if I go home for a bit?" 

"of course" Subin nodded "take the other girls with you for company"

"deh" Chaerin nodded "and...leave oppa alone for now. He needs to cool down"

A/N Happy Thanksgiving guys~ well to those who celebrate it LOL. Sorry for the drama in this chapter, but what's a story without drama?

Now I'm going to mention only a little bit of this, but BAP filing a lawsuit against TS. I'm glad they're doing it together as OT6, they even waited until Zelo was legal to do it. That's how strong their brotherhood is. They'd endure a few more months of torture just so that they could sue together. They're pulling a BlockB and I'm happy that they're sticking up for themselves. Hopefully the outcome will be to BAP's side bc they really deserve the fairness after all their hard work. #ForeverWithBAP Us Babyz will stick together with our boys <3
