"micheoseo?!" Jungho shouted as Chaerin hung up the phone
"I'm sorry!" she said running her fingers through her hair "I-I panicked!"
"so you said we were dating?" Jungho stood up "you couldn't have said Jooyoung? or Taehyun? why me?!"
"you were the first person I looked at!" she defended
"forget this stupid lie, tell him that we're not dating" Jungho said "I'd rather throw up every day for my life than date someone like you"
"yah! I'd rather have my period every day for the rest of my life than to date someone like you" Chaerin glared
"good, then tell him" he said picking up her phone
"I can't" she clenched her fists "Jeon Jungho, please. I'd do anything"
"anything?" Jungho asked smirking
"I'm doing this once and once only, I beg you" Chaerin said
"you know what? fine" he crossed his arms
"what do you want in return?" she asked
"I usually don't lie to my parents, but they've been wanting me to have a girlfriend already and no girl's come home to meet them with my conditions" Jungho grumbled
"what conditions?" Chaerin asked "you're going to make me follow them aren't you"
"show subtle skinship, be respectful, wear something nice, don't swear, talk with a cute voice, smile always, be an angel, always offer help to my parents, and-"
"are you a dictator or something?" Chaerin rolled her eyes
"do it or no deal" Jungho said
"fine" she grumbled
"let's go to my house," he said "we're going to have dinner tonight"
"what? this sudden?" Chaerin's eyes widened
"they're always ready" he said "let's go"

"do you have your girl voice ready?" Jungho crossed his arms
"deh~" Chaerin sang in a high - but not pitchy - voice. He smirked with a chuckle before opening the door to his house.
"umma, appa, wasseo!" Jungho shouted taking off his shoes, Chaerin followed suit and trailed after him as he entered the kitchen
"uri adeul, wash your hands and help umma in the kitchen oh?" she said and turned around "omo, who's this?"
"annyeonghaseyo, Chaerin Tuan imnida" the girl bowed
"umma, this is my girlfriend" Jungho said taking the girl's hand
"oh! yah, you should have told me so that I could get ready" his mother hissed, hitting Jungho's arm
"ah umma!" Jungho whined "apo"
"why is it so noisy here?" a man asked walking in
"yeobo, Jungho brought home a girl" his wife said
"annyeonghaseyo" Chaerin bowed again
"appa, this is Chaerin" Jungho said "she's a new student from LA"
"Chaerin, your name sounds familiar dear" he said
"my appa is Mark Tuan, Jackson samchun said that GOT7 and Bangtan were good friends" Chaerin said
"that's right! You're Mark hyung's daughter" he said "I'm Jeon Jungkook, Jungho's father. This is my wife, Jeon Yumi"
"I'm pretty sure Chaerin knows already, appa" Jungho said
"do you need some help Mrs. Jeon?" Chaerin asked
"do you know how to cook, dear?" Yumi asked
Chaerin gave a shy smile, fiddling with her fingers "I like to cook for my siblings, but I don't really know Korean cuisine"
"that's alright, just come and assist me" Yumi smiled
"son, help me in the office for a bit" Jungkook said ushering Jungho away.
"I'll be back" Jungho faked a smile, his hand on Chaerin's back. The girl nodded and walked over to the sink to wash her hands. She followed everything that Yumi asked of her.
"do you like spicy foods?" Yumi asked
"I've only really tasted spiciness three times" Chaerin said "my youngest brother is allergic to peppers, so I don't really know"
"you said you came from LA, dear?" she said adding a dash of spice to the pot
"deh, I've lived there my whole life. this is the first time I visited Korea" Chaerin said
"but you're fluent?" Yumi said and she nodded
"my parents spoke Korean to me at home" she said
"is it just you?" Yumi asked "are your parents here?"
"aniyo, my umma and appa are at home with my siblings, but my appa is going to come in a few months" she said "it's just me, but the samchuns taks care of me well"
"that's good" Yumi smiled warmly "so how did you and Jungho get together?"
"Jungho's in a lot of my classes and Song saem permanently partnered us together for dance class the whole year" Chaerin said and decided to fib a bit "I may seem far-fetched Mrs. Jeon, but I feel really connected with Jungho eventhough it's only been two weeks"
"honestly dear, all I hope is that my Jungho finds love" Yumi sighed "he's just like his father, believe me. So pursued and caught up in fulfilling his dream that he tends to forget that he's just a teenage boy"
"Jungho's really talented, I look up to him as a hoobae" Chaerin said "I'm starting to consider training"
"consider?" Yumi asked
"deh, it's either I train to become an idol or I go into pre-med and become an optometrist" the girl answered
"a doctor, that's an admirable profession" Yumi said washing her hands "I don't mean anything against you, but aspiring to be an idol and a doctor are two opposites, do you have a reason dear?"
"my parents and samchuns said that I have a good chance to become an idol, I don't like to brag but I guess I'm a skillful dancer. My vocal saem also said that my voice is good. So I'm just...testing the waters before seriously training" Chaerin said "and I've wanted to help people with vision abilities. The blind and people like that"
"how long hav eyou wanted to do that?" Yumi asked intrigued as she watched Chaerin wash the cooking materials
"since two years ago" she answered
"something traumatic happened two years ago" Yumi observed "did you almost go blind? Did you get into an accident?"
"aniyo" Chaerin muttered "my dongsaeng did"
"and now your dongsaeng is blind" Yumi said and Chaerin nodded, biting her lip
"h-how did you know that.." Chaerin trailed off
"I'm a psychiatrist" Yumi said putting a hand on Chaerin's shoulder, making her flinch "you want to become an optometrist as so to help your brother see again, am I right?"
"I think it's the least I could do for him" Chaerin said
"the least?" Yumi asked. Chaerin silently looked down and focused on washing the spatula "are you not comfortable talking about it?"
Chaerin nodded and dried her hands "I'll take the bowls of rice to the dining table"
"keurae" Yumi nodded taking off her apron. Chaerin heaved a sigh as she exited the kitchen. She was tempted to tell Jungho's mother, something about her aura told her it was okay, but then again she was a stranger. After a few minutes, Jungho and Jungkook came downstairs, joining them at the table "where's Yurin?"
"in the bathroom" Jungho said
"tell her to come down to dinner, when she's done" Yumi ordered to Jungho, who nodded his head standing up. After a few uncomfortable minutes of silence, Jungho came downstairs with a little girl in his arms, laughing as she was poking his cheeks
"oh? unnie nugusayo?" Yurin asked tilting her head at Chaerin.
"Yurin-ah, this is oppa's girlfriend" Jungkook said. Chaerin smiled and waved at the little girl
"girlfriend?" Yurin asked "unnie, are you sure you like my oppa? Unnie, yeppeoyo. You can get a better boyfriend can't you?"
"Yah, Jeon Yurin" Jungho hissed pinching her cheek "oppa's really cool, you know"
"stop it you two" Yumi chuckled "sit down and we'll eat"
During the dinner, Chaerin couldn't help but grow fond of Yurin. Although she has younger siblings, and she loves her brothers unconditionally, she's always wanted a little sister.
"-it was great to meet you Chaerin" Jungkook smiled patting her shoulder.
"you too, Mr. Jeon" Chaerin said
"I'll walk you out" Jungho said
"unnie, are you leaving already?" Yurin pouted
"mm" she nodded kneeling down to her level "I'll see you sometime soon Yurin-ah"
"you're always welcome to come over" Yumi said
"deh" Chaerin said "I will"
"kaja" Jungho said grabbing her hand. He walked her out as much to the end of the street "you seemed to enjoy yourself"
"Yurin is so adorable" Chaerin beamed "how old is she?"
"she's turning 7" Jungho said "you know, you didn't follow my rules"
Chaerin glared at him
"-but my parents seem to really like you" he said "you did good"
"what am I? a dog?" she hissed
"you owe me a debt, hm? yeochin?" Jungho faked a smile
"ew" Chaerin gagged
"wae? you said we were dating" he said
"in school, we're not in school" Chaerin said "I'll see you tomorrow"
