You have your popular guy: the captain and quarterback of his high school’s football team and also a ladies man; the typical image that every guy wants to be him and that every girl wants to be his. He is the pure stereotype of every high school romantic comedy that ever existed.
And then you have the girl; the so called ‘outcast’, the one that bears the image of ‘the girl next door’ that somehow lives a tough life. The sweetheart of her small group of friends and the one with the angel voice; let’s just say she is the secret gem to every typical character of this genre.
And here you have it: the boy and the girl; Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Just like the other love stories before them and surely the ones coming after, not even their own story contains purely sunshine and flowers. The meeting, the sudden friendship, the intimate moments and then falling in love; one step at a time, they climb on top until they fall over because of one single act, coming and destroying possibly everything that they had built for each other.
There’ll be laughter and there’ll be heartaches; fluffy moments and some hints of comedy; it’s a typical romcom after all, isn’t it?
