Chapter 8

          “Master, we couldn’t find her at all” one young boy said to the man who was sitting by the couch. The room was all dark and dusty. What was even worse was that the tension was going up. “,… I should have made her in the first day I met her. Such a waste” the man shook his head, clasping his hands together. “Why do you want her in so much? It’s not like anyone would like to be a gangster” a tall guy named Joon said.      Their gang was beating up on people who borrow too much money and end up not paying them back. There were five members in total. The old man as a demanding boss, the boy whom Semin met at the playground was Joon. There were other two guys and one girl. “She’d be a great gangster… I heard she breaks bones without hesitation” the man said and the girl nodded, “She sounds like a pro”.           It was Friday, the last day of school in the week. The weather was slowly getting colder because Winter was just behind the corner. Semin and Sehun were walking around the streets when they accidently met one of the gangsters. At first, they both walked casually but then Semin was held back by her wrist.      “Oh, finally found you. You’re going with me” the boy pulled Semin a few steps with him before he was held back by the collar. The boy looked up to see Sehun’s ice-cold gaze. “Let go” Sehun said with a dry voice. The boy’s mission was to bring Semin to their hideout so he couldn’t just let go.      Instead of listening to what Sehun said, the boy slapped his hand away and ran with Semin following him. But the said girl was frustrated and annoyed of what the guy was doing so she pulled her wrist back only to fail. The guy’s grip was pretty tight and it was hurting her wrist.       Taking the opportunity when the boy stopped, Semin kicked him in the stomach but was stopped by him. The boy held her leg in place and threw her around his shoulder. “Let me go, head” she hissed, trying to get out of the grip but the guy only smirked.       Sehun lost sight of the two when the boy turned to a corner. The next thing Semin knew was that she dropped to the ground painfully and she narrowed her eyes. Joon, who had her on his shoulder a minute ago, was on the ground, too. Semin thought it was Sehun who did it. But she couldn’t be more wrong.       It was Baekhyun, someone she didn’t expect at all. “Uh? Semin….? What’s happening here?” he said, dumbfounded. It was only natural for Baekhyun to bump into every person he came across but it seemed that he ran out of luck when he bumped into the gangster guy.       “Watch where you’re going, bastard” Joon hissed, standing up. The boy walked to Baekhyun to teach him a lesson but he was held back just before he could raise his fist. Semin had already grabbed the guy’s collar and had pinned him to the wall. “Such a waste I have to break that pretty nose of yours” said Semin before punching the guy in the middle of his face.      “” the guy hissed and crouched down, holding his nose bridge. Semin took that chance to run away. Semin grabbed Baekhyun’s hand and ran away quickly. Baekhyun ran after her quickly but thanks to Semin’s grip on his hand, he was able to catch up to her. “W-What’s happening?” he asked in between breaths. Semin sighed. She didn’t kn
