Chapter 26      “Mistress, may I come in?” the secretary asked as she knocked on the wooden doors. Semin replied shortly, telling her to come in. Semin was quite exhausted because there were a lot of things she had to go through with the files and papers. Even worse, company charts were dropping.       Without looking up from her papers, Semin waited for the secretary to say what she needed to but somehow, she still didn’t. Semin looked up with a sigh and that was when she saw the worried face of hers. “What’s wrong?” she asked, putting her pen down for a moment.        The look on the secretary’s face told her that there was bad news. And that was actually true. “Please read through this article” she handed Semin the latest newspapers. Right that minute, Semin’s eyes widened when she saw the picture of her and Baekhyun sitting on one of the benches at the park. She didn’t need to read the article to know what it was about.        With a sigh, she shook her head. To her, it didn’t really matter that people knew but she knew it affected the company and its status. She knew she had to do something. Semin’s phone rang and she picked it up in frustration “Hello?”. “It’s me, Kim Paul. I guess you’ve already seen the news?” Semin heard the male’s voice and the other line and frowned in disgust. “Was it you?” Semin asked, her voice clearly angry.       “Oh was it?” His fake laugh really annoyed Semin, and she was at the verge of hanging up but he stopped her. “Listen. I can make an article, saying that it’s just a fake rumor. But of course, I have a condition” said Kim Paul. No matter how angry she was, she still wanted to hear his offer.        “What do you want?” Semin asked, clenching her fist and signaling the secretary to leave the room for a minute. “Your company’s suffering quite a lot… How about you marry a soon-to-be CEO of another company? Someone like…me?” As soon as his sentence finished, Semin hung up and threw her phone against the table in anger.        So that was the purpose of the whole rumor thing. Semin sighed and grabbed her headphones, putting them on. In a situation like this, the girl only wanted to listen to music and think about nothing else. Come to mention of it, Semin had already worn the headphones but she still hadn’t heard the song Baekhyun recorded for her.        Pressing the play button, Semin put it in her pocket and sunk a little in her seat. She closed her eyes to slowly enjoy the music. It was a heavenly song for her. That gentle melody of the piano that played in her ears really calmed her down. What was even better was Baekhyun’s voice. It was so angelic and soothing. Semin couldn’t stop imagining the boy’s face as she listened to the song, lightly humming to it as she caught the melody.   I may seem strong, I may be smiling
