Review:

It looks like I'm on a TaengSic roll. After two very different AUs, here comes a good old classic TaengSic genre: Sicagate angst. Whoot whoot. Actually, it's not Sicagate angst so much as it is canon verse TaengSic angst in general, but I mean canon verse TaengSic always comes back to angst. I really like zuojia's TaengSic and in particular her Taeyeon because she's just so...thoughtful?? I can't quite describe it, but we know that Taeyeon is someone who spends a lot of time in her mind and I love how zuojia captures that. Her particular brand of melancholy, introspection and cynicism in Taeyeon just resonates so much with me. And, unsurprisingly, this is a very thoughtful and thought-provoking read.


Except: 

Taeyeon isn’t sure what happened.

They don’t talk about it a lot. They don’t talk a lot period. It’s been getting better, but for the most part she remains painfully aware of how different it feels. She knows better than to expect anything else after everything.

(Her head knows. The thing in her chest doesn’t always follow along so well.)
